What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform, native or web app?

React Native shares a codebase across iOS and Android. It suits apps built around accounts, forms, lists, maps, bookings, payments and content, and reduces the amount of platform-specific code you need to maintain. We use native development when the app needs deep device features. Native builds use Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android, so there are separate codebases to build and maintain.

Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design where you want screens to look identical on both platforms. Your team also needs to be comfortable working in Dart when maintaining the app.

A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool. It skips store review, but it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. That affects how staff access the tool and receive updates.

Local

What Nevada businesses need from an app

Tourism is Nevada’s largest employer, and entertainment is among its industrial outputs. An appointment business serving visitors needs a booking flow, reminders, payments and a staff view of the day’s schedule. Staff also need a way to look up customers without calling a developer whenever they need to check an account.

Mining remains a substantial sector in Nevada. A mining business managing maintenance or inspection teams could use job forms that capture photos, signatures and location, then sync records to the office when a connection returns. Plan the office view alongside the phone screens, so the people receiving those records have a practical way to work with them.

Rules

What a US app project has to handle

For state and local government apps, the US accessibility rule requires WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That changes the screen design and testing work: we set up the app’s screens against that standard and include accessibility in the build. Agree the requirements before the screens are signed off, so they are part of the work from the start.

For physical goods or services used outside the app, Apple requires a payment method other than in-app purchase. Stripe supports businesses signing up in the United States, so we can set up a Stripe card checkout for that type of purchase.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

Our studio is in India, and we work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 10h30m (Eastern) to 13h30m (Pacific) ahead of the mainland US in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback and see what is moving between calls.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals. You tell us what people need to do in the app, and we agree the scope together.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare iOS and Android screens before writing code. You review the flows and give feedback while changes are still being made in the designs.

  3. 03

    Test

We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks. You use the app on a real device and share what needs attention.

  4. 04

    Submit

We handle listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. If the app has a login, provide a working demo account; the backend also needs to be live for Apple’s review. Leave room in the launch plan for fixes and resubmission.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring the details that will shape access, testing and the first release.

  • Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name. Organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • TestersNew personal Google Play developer accounts need a closed test before production release, so plan to recruit opted-in testers.
  • Existing systemsList your website, CRM, booking software and payment provider, noting their APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Privacy policyPrepare a policy matching the data the app collects; Apple requires links in the listing and the app.
  • Account deletionIf people can create an account, plan an in-app way to start deleting it on iOS. Deactivation alone is insufficient.

Cost & time

What affects app development cost and time

The scope determines how much design, integration and testing work the app needs.

  • Backend

An existing system with a documented API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel can be as much work as the app itself.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Integrations

Each payment gateway, map, CRM, booking system or connected device needs setup, testing and a way to handle failures.

  • Screen variations

Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Wrapping the website

Apple expects more than a repackaged site. Give people a reason to install the app through tasks suited to the app itself.

  • Putting sign-up first

Let people see value before asking them to create an account. Apple asks apps without significant account-based features to allow use without login.

  • Adding an analytics or advertising SDK late

Check what it collects and update the store privacy answers. Google Play’s Data safety form must include data collected by third-party SDKs.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Nevada

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price. The scope drives the quote: offline editing with later sync, moderation for user-generated content, and notification targeting each add work. Decide which of these the first release needs. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed, so it reflects the app you intend to build.

How should I choose an app development company?

Ask how the developer will support the tasks your customers use most often. If you already have a web platform, discuss which accounts and data the app should reuse. We build a shared backend for an app, website and admin tools, so ask to see how that connection would work for your product.

What should the first release include?

Include the main customer task and a way to see how the app performs. Analytics and crash reporting belong in the first release: tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry show screen use, drop-off and device crashes. If people can create accounts on Google Play, also provide an in-app deletion path and a web deletion-request link.

Who owns the app and its accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name too. When those are held in an agency’s or freelancer’s name, moving the app later becomes harder. Check where each item will sit before work begins.

Can customers buy subscriptions in the app?

Yes. We build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. Google Play requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app, while physical goods and services such as groceries, transport or event tickets must use another payment method. Some regions allow alternative billing.

What happens after the app launches?

We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can be delivered over the air, while native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. Review retention, task drop-off and the crash-free rate to see how people are using each release.
