Choosing
Should you choose a cross-platform or native app?
A cross-platform app shares most of its code across iOS and Android. It suits familiar tasks such as booking, completing forms, browsing lists and making payments. We usually use React Native and add native modules when a feature needs them. Sharing code reduces the amount you have to maintain across the platforms, while still leaving room for platform-specific work.
Native development uses Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android. It is worth considering when your product relies on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features as soon as they launch. The trade-off is separate codebases to build and maintain, so the choice reaches beyond the first release.
A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool. It skips store review, although it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. That distinction is worth discussing if reminders are central to the task.
Local
What organisations in Indiranagar need from an app
Indiranagar has National Public School and New Horizon Public School. For a school arranging appointments, a useful app flow could let people book, receive a reminder and make a payment, while giving staff a view of the day's schedule. The practical decision is who needs to see each appointment and what they need to do with it.
Sri Rakum School for the Blind is also in Indiranagar. If an organisation coordinating maintenance or inspections needs staff to record work away from the office, an app could collect job forms, photos and signatures, then sync them when a connection returns. That gives the office a record to work from without requiring every job to be completed online.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
UPI supports mobile payments between people and merchants in India. We set up the checkout around what you sell: physical goods and services used outside the app need a payment route such as a card gateway, while digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app generally require the relevant store's billing. Some storefronts or regions allow alternatives. We also build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board to keep discussions and project work accessible to you.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want the app to help people complete.
- 02
Design
We design and refine the iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Put the clickable prototype in front of customers or staff while screen changes are easier to make.
- 03
Test
We send builds to your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app for real tasks and tell us where the flow needs work.
- 04
Prepare for review
If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for submission. Leave room in the launch plan for fixes and resubmission.
- 05
Submit
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain access to those accounts as the app moves towards release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A few practical details will help us agree what the app needs to do.
- First releaseList the tasks users must complete, in the order they would do them.
- Existing systemsNote your website, CRM, booking or payment software, which systems have an API and who holds admin access.
- Shared dataDecide whether the website, app and admin tools should use the same backend.
- Developer accountsStart registering Apple and Google accounts in your company name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number for verification.
- TestingIf you use a new personal Google Play developer account, identify people who can opt in to its required closed test.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of an app
The scope determines how much design, development and testing the work needs.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Screen design
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User-generated content
An app that lets people post content needs moderation features, including reporting, blocking and published contact details.

How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the quote. Offline editing and later syncing add more work than showing the last loaded data, while each connection to a payment gateway, booking system or other service needs setup, testing and failure handling. We discuss the scope with you before a quote.
How should I choose an app development company?
Choose a studio whose working arrangements give you access to the people making your product. At MSH Technologies, you talk directly to the people who design and build it, and the same team handles design, development and launch. Ask how feedback reaches that team before you agree the work.
What is included in mobile app development?
We build the backend and APIs for accounts, data, notifications and admin tools, and set up push notifications. A useful notification setup needs a sending service, rules for who receives each message and when, plus in-app settings so people can switch off categories they do not want.
Will I own my app and developer accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Store publication uses your own developer accounts: we handle the listings, submission and review under those accounts. Keep access to the accounts with your business so you can manage the app's store presence.
What happens after the app is launched?
Plan for maintenance releases and check how people use the app. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, while native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. Track retention and crash-free rate as well.
