Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform, native or web app?
A cross-platform app is a practical choice for accounts, forms, bookings, payments and content. We use React Native to share a codebase across iOS and Android, adding native modules where needed. It renders each platform’s own interface components, and some logic can also be shared with a React web app.
Choose native development when the product depends on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android give you separate platform codebases, so there is more code to build and maintain. We use native development when those device requirements call for it.
A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool, especially when store review is unnecessary. It has limits: it will not appear in app stores unless packaged for them, and an iPhone user must add it to the Home Screen before it can ask to send notifications. Decide how much those store and notification constraints affect the work your users need to do.
Local
What HITEC City organisations need from an app
HITEC City is a financial business district and an information technology special economic zone. If your organisation already runs a web platform that customers use frequently, an app can reuse their accounts and data. Staff also need an admin panel where they can look up customers, edit content and handle account issues without calling a developer.
The Green Business Centre in HITEC City provides advice on conserving natural resources, including energy management and green buildings. For an organisation whose staff collect information on site, an app brief could include job forms, photos, signatures and locations, with records synced to the office when signal returns. That gives your staff a concrete workflow to test before commissioning the build.
Rules
What an app project in India needs to handle
For physical services used outside your app, we set up checkout with an authorised payment aggregator and a UPI payment option. Razorpay and Cashfree Payments have received authorisation to operate as payment aggregators. For digital content and subscriptions used inside the app, the checkout needs to follow the relevant store billing rules; we account for that distinction when setting up payments.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We are a studio in India, and you speak directly to the people designing and building your product. Bring the people who will use or manage the app into the conversation as the work develops.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us agree which tasks belong in the scope.
- 02
Design
We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Tell us where a flow does not match how your customers or staff work.
- 03
Prototype
Put the clickable designs in front of customers or staff. Their feedback gives us a chance to change screens while changes are cheaper than they would be after building.
- 04
Test
Try development builds on your own phone through TestFlight or the Google Play testing tracks. Use the app for real tasks and share what you notice.
- 05
Submit
If the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and live backend for Apple’s review. Leave room in your launch plan for fixes and resubmission.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these details before your project starts.
- Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
- TestersNew personal Google Play accounts have a closed-testing requirement before production release.
- Existing systemsList your website, CRM, booking software and payment provider, their APIs and who has admin access.
- Privacy policyPrepare a policy that matches the data the app collects, for its listing and an in-app link.
- Third-party toolsIdentify analytics or advertising SDKs so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety form.
Cost & time
What affects app development cost and time
The work grows with the flows and systems your app needs.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
Each payment gateway, map, CRM or connected device needs setup, testing and handling for failures.
Screen variations
Custom animation, extra languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User content
Posts and other user-generated material require filtering, reporting, user blocking and published contact details.
Questions
Asked by businesses in HITEC City
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. Cost depends on the users who need their own screens and permissions, and on how much the app must do without a signal. Showing last-loaded data offline is less work than letting people edit records offline and resolving conflicts when those records sync.
How do I choose an app development company?
Ask how the team will handle sign-up and notification permission in the actual user flow. An app without significant account-based features should let people use it without logging in. Asking for notification permission after a useful event, such as an order, gives the request a clearer purpose.
What should be included in the first release?
Include analytics, crash reporting and the controls needed for your chosen features. For notifications, that means a sending service, rules for who receives each message and settings for switching categories off. If users can create accounts, Apple also requires a way to start deleting an account inside the app.
Who owns the app and store accounts?
You own your code, content and domain without lock-in. We submit the app under your own developer accounts. Keep the accounts, signing access and code repository in your business’s name too; accounts held in an agency’s name can make the app harder to move later.
What happens after the app launches?
Plan maintenance releases and check how the app performs in use. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, while native code changes and new permissions still need a store release.
