What you get
What’s included in MVP development for startups
Scope to launch
The smallest set of features that tests your idea with real users.
Design
Clickable flows and screens before development starts.
Build
A production-ready web app with sign-up, payments and an admin area.
Analytics
Events and funnels in place so you can see what users do from day one.
Launch
Hosting, domain, email and monitoring set up.
Next version
A plan for version two based on what the first users show you.
Tools we use: Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Stripe, Vercel.
Choosing
Should you start with a prototype, web app or mobile app?
Start with a clickable prototype when you need to learn whether people understand and want the idea. It needs no code and is quick to change as you test the screens. Choose a coded MVP when the value depends on custom logic, data or integrations, or when you expect the first version to grow into your product.
A web app is quick to change and does not need a store review. A mobile MVP fits when the action people repeat depends on a camera, location or frequent notifications. Choose the format around that action: a screen that looks useful in a demo still has to support what users actually need to do.
For a marketplace, you can recruit suppliers personally and build for the side whose behaviour you need to understand. That leaves you with a manual task, but avoids building both sides before you have evidence about how people use them. We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you.
Local
What HITEC City businesses need from an MVP
HITEC City is a financial business district and an information technology special economic zone. If you are preparing to raise funds for a startup here, you need a working product and usage data to show investors. Define the sequence your user repeats to get value, then build that sequence through to completion so the data reflects real use.
Advisory organisations in HITEC City include the CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, which advises on natural-resource conservation, including energy management and green buildings. If you run an advisory service and want to turn a repeated workflow into software, start with client logins and payments. Reports can still be emailed by hand while you test demand for the service.
Rules
What an MVP in India needs for payments
If your users pay you in India, we set up UPI in the checkout so they have a mobile payment option. Where an online payment aggregator handles merchant payments, a non-bank provider needs Reserve Bank of India authorisation. We set up the checkout with an authorised provider; Razorpay and Cashfree Payments have received that authorisation. The payment flow needs to be included in your MVP scope and tested as part of the product.
How it runs
How an MVP project runs with us
We are based in India and work with you remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and discuss decisions with us as the project progresses.
- 01
Scope
We help you decide what the first version must include and what comes next. Bring the problem you want to solve and tell us what you need to learn from users.
- 02
Design
We prepare clickable flows and screens before development starts. You can review the path through the product and give feedback while changes are still being made to the designs.
- 03
Build
We build for real sign-up, payments and safely stored data. You get an MVP that tests what people do, while a clickable prototype tests their understanding of the idea.
- 04
Recruit
While the build is under way, line up people who have agreed to try the product and give you honest feedback. Their input gives you something to examine after launch.
- 05
Launch
We set up hosting, the domain, email and monitoring. You can then put the product in front of the users you have lined up.
- 06
Learn
Review analytics alongside short user interviews. The figures show where people stop; conversations help you understand why they stopped.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
If you are turning professional know-how into software, bring what you know about the problem and the people who have it.
- Write the problem in one sentence, name the audience and bring evidence that they care.
- Choose the result that would prove the idea, such as repeat use or paid conversions.
- Separate core features from later ideas and give a reason for each must-have.
- Name the people who will try it and plan how to reach more users.
- Write down the decision your success target will trigger before the build starts.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of MVP development
Every feature added before launch adds work and delays what you can learn from users.
User types
Each type needs its own flows. A marketplace with buyers and sellers has substantial work on both sides, even when they share a backend.
Payment rules
One-off card payments are simpler; subscriptions, split payouts and held funds add rules to build and test.
Integrations and AI
Connections to outside systems add scope. AI features also need prompt design and testing against real examples.
Real-time features
Chat and live updates add work beyond the screens you can see, so include them only when the core use needs them.
Questions
Asked by businesses in HITEC City
Page updated 5 November 2026
What does an MVP development company do?
An MVP development company builds a working first version of your idea and helps you learn from its users. We also plan the next version around what those users show you. The first screen and sign-up need to work properly, so a confusing experience does not obscure the evidence about your idea.
How much does MVP development cost?
There is no fixed price. The work depends on the sign-up, payments and admin area you need, the screens to be designed, and extras such as roles or integrations. Leaving those extras for later can reduce the initial scope. We send you a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Should I charge users or offer a free beta?
Charge from the start if your main question is whether users will pay. A free beta can bring in more users, but gives weaker evidence about willingness to pay. Set up events and funnels too: they show where people drop out of the core loop, whatever route you choose.
Will I own the MVP code?
Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Ask for the core loop to be tested and the code to be documented. MVP code often becomes part of the later product, so clean, understandable work gives you a more useful foundation for changes.
What happens after the MVP launches?
Use the success criteria you agreed before launch to decide whether to continue, change direction or stop. If you continue, plan to repay shortcuts, add tests around the core loop and automate manual steps as volume grows. Those decisions follow the evidence from actual use.
