Choosing

Should you choose a cross-platform or native app?

A cross-platform app shares most of its code between iOS and Android. It fits products built around accounts, forms, bookings, maps, payments or content. We usually recommend React Native: it uses each platform’s interface components, and web developers can contribute using JavaScript or TypeScript. We go native when the app needs deep device features.

Flutter is another cross-platform option. It draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design that needs to look identical on both platforms. Your team needs to be willing to work in Dart. A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool: it skips store review, but needs packaging to appear in the stores. On iPhone, notification permission is available only after it is added to the Home Screen.

The choice affects how screens are built and who can work on them later. We help you make it as the team handling your design, development and launch.

Local

What Hyderabad businesses need from an app

Hyderabad has IT and ITES firms, alongside pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses. If your organisation has people working away from the office, a field app can give them job forms, photos, signatures and location details, then sync their records when signal returns.

For shops serving repeat customers, including those trading in the city’s bazaars, an app can make reordering and saved payment details accessible from a phone. The checkout and notification rules need attention as part of that build.

Service businesses in Hyderabad also have appointment work to manage. A clinic, salon or gym app can bring bookings, reminders and payments together with a staff view of the day’s schedule.

Rules

What an app project in India has to handle

What you sell changes the checkout. Apple and Google require their in-app purchase systems for digital content or subscriptions used in the app; physical goods and services need another payment method. We set up in-app purchases and subscriptions where they apply, and plan a separate checkout for physical purchases. If a non-bank provider aggregates customer payments for your business, it must be authorised to do so, so choose an authorised provider for that checkout.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We are a studio in India and work remotely with clients in other cities and countries. We use video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards to keep the work visible and make feedback practical.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the problem you want the app to solve and the people who will use it.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare screens and flows for both platforms. You review them and give feedback before coding starts.

  3. 03

    Build

We develop the app along with the backend and admin tools it needs. Discuss what your staff must be able to manage, such as customer records or refunds.

  4. 04

    Test

You receive builds on your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use them in real situations and share what needs changing.

  5. 05

    Release

We handle listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain those accounts for your business.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Gather these details early so the scope and store preparation have a clear starting point.

  • Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • Google Play testingCheck the closed-testing requirement if you are using a new personal developer account.
  • Connected systemsList your website, CRM, booking or ERP software and payment provider. Note available APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Privacy policyHave a policy that matches the data the app collects, ready to link in the app and its Apple store listing.
  • Review accessIf the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s review.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and time of app development

The work changes with what the app needs to do and the screens it needs to support.

  • Offline work

Displaying the last loaded data is modest work; editing records offline and resolving conflicts when they sync takes substantially more.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than data loaded on request.

  • Custom screens

Animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing work across screens.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated material require moderation features, including reporting, blocking and a way to filter objectionable material.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with app development

  • Wrapping a website without adding useful app features risks Apple rejecting the submission. Plan what people will be able to do in the app before building the shell.

  • Keeping developer accounts or code repositories in an agency’s name makes a later move difficult. Keep the accounts, signing access and code in your business’s name.

  • Adding an analytics or advertising SDK without revisiting privacy answers creates a mismatch. Include data collected by third-party SDKs in the Google Play Data safety form.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Hyderabad

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price. The scope drives the quote: separate customer, driver or staff roles need their own screens and permissions, while an existing backend with a documented API reduces the work compared with building a backend and admin panel from scratch. We agree the scope before preparing your quote.

How should I choose an app development company?

Choose a team that can explain what it will build and how your app will be released. Check that store submission will happen under your own developer accounts. Also discuss access before sign-up: apps without significant account-based features should let people use them without logging in.

What is included in the app build?

The build can include the app, its backend and admin tools. We can connect the app, website and admin tools to a shared backend. For push notifications, we plan the sending service, who receives each message and when, plus settings that let people switch off unwanted categories.

Who owns the app after it is built?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep those assets accessible to your business so you can use them and retain control after the initial build. Ownership is worth discussing when you agree the scope, alongside the access your staff will need.

What support will the app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and further features. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level; an out-of-date app can become unavailable to new users on newer devices. Regular maintenance releases address that requirement.

Does every app fix need a store release?

No. Over-the-air tools such as Expo EAS Update can deliver JavaScript and content fixes without a store build. Changes to native code, new permissions and Expo SDK upgrades still need a store release, so the type of change determines how it reaches users.
