Mobile app developers for Colorado businesses

You get an app designed around the tasks your customers or staff need to complete. For Colorado businesses, we design iOS and Android screens, build the accounts and data behind them, and set up push notifications. You work with us remotely, with the app’s scope and screens shaped around your business and the people who will use it.

What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you choose React Native, Flutter or native apps?

React Native is our usual choice for an app that needs to reach iPhone and Android users. It uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. Web developers can contribute, and an app can share some logic with a React web app. We use a shared codebase for both platforms and add native modules when a feature needs them. That gives you a practical way to cover both stores without maintaining every part of the app separately.

Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded product whose screens need to look identical across platforms. Your team needs to be willing to work in Dart. Native development uses Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android. It fits deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch, but it means building and maintaining separate codebases. Choose the approach around the features you need and the code your team will maintain.

Local

What Colorado businesses need from an app

Colorado’s economy includes tourism, agriculture and manufacturing. A restaurant serving repeat customers needs a fast route to reordering, saved payment details and notifications sent at useful moments. An appointment business needs booking, reminders and payments, plus a staff view of the day’s schedule. Those staff tasks need a place in the scope alongside the customer screens.

Colorado also has scientific research and high-technology industries. A technology business with customers already using its web platform might add an app for frequent use, keeping the same accounts and data. A startup launching a consumer or marketplace product has a different concern: covering both stores from a shared codebase and measuring whether people return after installing.

Rules

What US government app projects have to handle

State and local government mobile apps must meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA under the ADA Title II rule. If you manage one of these services, we include that requirement in the app scope and set up the screen designs against that standard. Bring us the details of the service and its users. That gives us a basis for agreeing the screen flows and accessibility requirements as part of the build.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We are a studio in India. In winter, India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of the mainland US; the difference is 1 hour less during daylight saving time, except in Arizona. We use video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards so decisions and feedback stay visible between conversations.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the tasks you want customers and staff to complete.

  2. 02

    Design

We make screen designs for your feedback before code is written. Put the clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff; changes at this stage cost less than changes after the build.

  3. 03

    Build

We develop the app and test it on real devices. You also receive test builds on your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks, so you can respond to real use.

  4. 04

    Prepare submission

If your app has a login, have a working demo account and live backend ready for Apple’s review. Leave room in the launch plan for a fix and resubmission if needed.

  5. 05

    Release

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts as the app moves into release.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring the information that will shape the app and its release.

  • List your website, CRM, booking or other systems, their APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Start registering Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • If you have a new personal Google Play account, plan for its required closed test before production release.
  • Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects. Apple requires a link in the listing and app.
  • If users create accounts, plan an in-app deletion path and a web deletion-request link for Google Play.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and time of app development

The scope determines how much design, build and testing work the app needs.

  • Existing systems

A backend with a documented API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel can be as large a task as the app.

  • Integrations

Payment gateways, booking systems and hardware each need setup, testing and handling for failures.

  • Screen design

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • Offline use

Showing previously loaded data is modest work. Creating and editing records offline also needs later syncing and conflict handling.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with an app

  • Wrapping your website

Apple expects more than a repackaged site. Define a useful app task before building an app shell.

  • Forcing an early sign-up

Let people use an app without logging in when it has no significant account-based features.

  • Requesting notifications immediately

Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android, users need to allow notifications before receiving them.

  • Adding tracking without updating privacy details

Include data collected by third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in Google Play’s Data safety form.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Colorado

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. Separate customer, driver and staff roles each need their own screens and permissions, while live tracking or chat adds persistent connections and backend work. We send a free quote once we have agreed the scope, so start by identifying the users and the tasks they need to complete.

How do I choose an app development company?

Ask how the company will build, release and measure the app. Store listings and submission are part of the work, but you should also agree what to watch after release. Retention shows whether people return, while the crash-free rate helps you see whether a release helped or hurt.

What should be included in an app project?

Plan for the phone app, its backend and an admin panel. The backend holds accounts and data; the admin panel gives staff a way to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds or block abusive accounts. We can build one backend to serve your app, website and admin tools.

How will customers pay through the app?

The checkout depends on what you sell. We set up in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. Digital content and subscriptions generally use the stores’ purchase systems; physical goods or services used outside the app need another payment method, such as a card gateway. Some storefronts or regions allow alternative options.

Will I own the app and its accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We also publish under your own developer accounts. That keeps the store accounts in your hands, while the code and content remain yours to use as the product changes after its initial release.

What support will the app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features as you learn from use. We offer ongoing support after launch. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so maintenance releases need a place in your plans.
