Choosing
Should you choose a cross-platform app, a native app or a web app?
A cross-platform app shares most of its code across iOS and Android. It suits common tasks such as signing in, filling forms, booking, taking payments and viewing content. We usually build with React Native and add native modules where a feature needs them. When the app depends on deep device features, we choose native development instead.
React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s interface components. Flutter uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design that should look identical across platforms. The choice also affects who can work on the code: web developers can contribute to React Native, while a Flutter project needs people willing to work in Dart.
A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool when store distribution is not needed. It avoids store review, but it will not appear in the stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to their Home Screen.
Local
What Thane organisations need from an app
Industrial activity is concentrated in Thane, and Maharashtra’s industries include machinery and food products. If you manage delivery, maintenance or inspection work, an app for your field team could collect forms, photos, signatures and location on each job. The records need to reach the office when the signal returns.
Thane is also the district headquarters. If you run an appointment business in the city, such as a clinic or salon, think through booking, reminders and payments alongside the staff view of the day’s schedule. A shop or restaurant with repeat customers has a different priority: make reordering and checkout quick, with notifications timed around a useful action.
Rules
What an app project in India needs to handle
UPI supports person-to-merchant payments in India. For physical goods or services used outside the app, we plan checkout with a payment provider and UPI; Apple requires these purchases to use a method outside in-app purchase. Non-bank entities that aggregate online customer payments for merchants must be authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. We check the provider as part of setting up and testing the checkout.
How it runs
How a mobile app project runs with us
We are a studio in India and work with clients remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and discuss decisions with us as the project progresses.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want the app to help people complete.
- 02
Design
We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Tell us where a flow does not match how your customers or staff work.
- 03
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few real customers or staff. Their feedback gives you a chance to change screens while changes are cheaper than after the build.
- 04
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks. Use the app yourself and share what you notice.
- 05
Release
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Start with your audience, business goals and the scope you want to discuss.
- List the website, CRM, booking system, ERP or payment provider the app needs to connect to; note available APIs and who has admin access.
- Plan Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name. Organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number for verification.
- Identify testers if you expect to use a new personal Google Play developer account; closed testing is required before production release.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects, for the store listing and an in-app link.
- Keep the accounts, signing access and code repository in your business’s name so the app remains movable.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of app development
The work grows with the features behind the screens: live tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than data loaded on request.
Integrations
Each payment gateway, map, booking system or device connection needs setup, testing and failure handling.
Interface and languages
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User-generated content
Posts and other submissions need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details to meet Apple’s requirements.
Notifications
A sending service needs rules for recipients and timing, plus settings for users to switch off unwanted categories.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Thane
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The number of user types changes the screens and permissions needed, while offline editing adds syncing and conflict handling. Showing previously loaded data without a signal is a smaller piece of work. Once we agree the scope, we can discuss a quote for the work you need.
How should I choose an app development company?
Look at how the team will design the screens and connect the app to your existing systems. Ask what customers will be able to do in the app and how their accounts and data will be shared with your website and admin tools. A simple wrapper around a website risks store rejection.
Can you add purchases and subscriptions to the app?
Yes. We include in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. We also build the accounts, data and admin tools behind an app, so discuss what your customers need to access and what your staff need to manage before the screens and purchase flows are agreed.
Will I own the app code?
Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. For an app that allows account creation, plan the account-deletion flow too: Apple requires people to be able to start deletion inside the app, and disabling the account alone does not meet that requirement.
What happens after the app launches?
Launch is followed by ongoing support for bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Plan maintenance releases for Google Play’s Android API requirements. Review retention, drop-off in the main task and the crash-free rate to understand how people use each release.
