What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform or native app?

We usually recommend React Native for an app that needs to run on both iPhone and Android. It shares a codebase across the platforms, while native modules handle features that need them. React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components; some logic can also be shared with a React web app. We’ll help you decide where that approach fits your requirements.

A native build in Swift and Kotlin suits an app that depends on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. You get access to those capabilities, with separate codebases to build and maintain. Flutter is another option: it draws its own interface, which suits highly customised branding and teams prepared to work in Dart. The choice affects who can maintain the app and how much platform-specific work sits behind each screen.

Local

What Mumbai businesses need from an app

Mumbai’s finance businesses that already have a customer web platform might consider an app when customers use that platform frequently. The app can reuse existing accounts, data and backend services, so customers do not need a separate account for each channel.

Mumbai’s entertainment businesses may need customers to book and pay from a phone, with reminders and a staff view of the day’s schedule. Those flows give the team something useful to manage after a booking has been made.

For a Mumbai shipping or delivery operation, a field app can collect job details, photos, signatures and location while staff are away from the office. Offline forms let them continue recording work and sync it when a signal returns.

Rules

What an app project in India needs to handle

For physical goods or services, a checkout can offer UPI for customer-to-merchant payments. We set up the payment flow around what you sell. Digital goods and subscriptions sold in an Android app need a different checkout decision: Google Play billing is required for those purchases, while it must not be used for physical goods or services. We set up in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We’re a studio in India and work remotely with clients in other cities and countries. You can discuss the work over video calls and WhatsApp and follow it on a shared project board.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want people to complete and the information your staff need to manage it.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. You can review the flows and tell us where they need to change.

  3. 03

    Test

You receive builds on your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s testing tracks. Try the main task yourself and share feedback from real use.

  4. 04

    Release

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts while we take the app through the release process.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

A few decisions and materials will make the first discussion more useful.

  • TasksList what users must do in the first release, in the order they will do it.
  • Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name and start the D-U-N-S verification for organisation accounts.
  • TestingPlan a closed test if you are using a new personal Google Play developer account.
  • Privacy policyHave a policy that reflects the data the app collects, for both the listing and the app.
  • Review accessIf the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and live backend for Apple’s review.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline

The work changes with the flows, connections and screens your app needs.

  • User types

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.

  • Integrations

A payment gateway, booking system or scanner adds setup, testing and handling for failures.

  • Live features

Tracking and chat need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Screen design

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across the screens they affect.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid

  • Wrapping a website

An app shell around your existing site risks rejection. Give people a reason to install the app through what they can do in it.

  • Forcing early sign-up

Let people see and use relevant parts of the app before asking them to create an account, where significant account features are not needed.

  • Asking for notifications immediately

Request permission when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. Android notifications stay off until the user allows them.

Questions

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. A new backend and admin panel add substantial work, while an existing backend with a documented API can reduce it. Offline editing and later syncing also take more work than showing previously loaded data. We send a free quote once we’ve agreed the scope with you.

How do I choose an app development company?

Ask each studio to explain how it will build and measure the features in your brief. For notifications, check who receives each message, when it is sent and how users switch categories off. For the first release, ask about analytics and crash reporting so you can see screen use, drop-offs and device crashes.

Should I choose a progressive web app?

A progressive web app can suit a staff tool and skips store review. It does not appear in app stores unless packaged for them, though. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to their Home Screen, so consider how staff will access and use it.

What is included besides the app screens?

A typical project also needs a backend and an admin panel. We can build one backend for your app, website and admin tools, keeping accounts and data in one place. Your staff can use the admin panel to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds and block abusive accounts.

Who owns the app and its accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name too. When those are held in a freelancer’s or agency’s name, moving the app later becomes harder, so agree access arrangements before work begins.

What happens after the app launches?

Launch is followed by ongoing support for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can be sent over the air; native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. Track returning users, drop-offs and the crash-free rate to assess subsequent releases.
