What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform app, a native app or a web app?

We usually recommend React Native for apps built around accounts, bookings, forms, payments or content. It shares a codebase across iOS and Android, with native modules where a particular feature needs them. That gives you a shared foundation to maintain while still allowing work on platform-specific features.

Native development fits apps that depend on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. An iPhone app built in Swift and an Android app built in Kotlin give you platform-specific code, but you have two codebases to build and maintain. Be clear about the device features you need before choosing this route.

A progressive web app is another option, particularly for a staff tool. It skips store review, but it does not appear in app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. Consider how your users will find and return to the product before deciding.

Local

What Kerala businesses need from an app

Kerala has a service-oriented economy. For an appointment business such as a clinic, salon or gym, an app needs a booking flow customers can complete, reminders, payment and a staff view of the day's schedule. Plan the customer and staff screens together so each side has the information it needs.

Software and food-processing businesses form part of the region's industrial activity. Where customers already use a web platform frequently, an app can give them access to the same accounts and data they use on the website.

For shops and restaurants serving customers around Kerala's beaches, backwaters and other visitor attractions, repeat orders need a quick checkout. Loyalty features, saved payment details and notifications timed around an order are useful features to consider.

Rules

Payment choices for an app in India

For physical goods or services, we set up checkout with a payment provider that supports UPI, India's mobile payment system. The store rules distinguish these payments from purchases used inside the app: Apple requires in-app purchase for digital content, features and subscriptions, while Google Play requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions. Some storefronts or regions allow alternatives. Tell us what you sell so we can plan the right checkout for each store.

How it runs

How a mobile app development project runs with us

We work remotely from India using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and give feedback without travelling to meet us.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the tasks your users need to complete and the decisions your staff make.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. You can check the flow before development begins.

  3. 03

    Test

We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app for real tasks and tell us where the screens need work.

  4. 04

    Measure

We plan analytics and crash reporting for the first release. Tools such as Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics show screen use, drop-off points and device crashes.

  5. 05

    Release

We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You keep access to those accounts as the app goes through the store process.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring what you have from this list to the first conversation.

  • TasksList what users must do in the first release, in the order they will do it.
  • Connected systemsNote your website, booking software and payment provider, their APIs and who holds admin access.
  • TestingCheck whether your new personal Google Play developer account needs a closed test before production.
  • PrivacyPrepare a policy that matches the data the app collects for the app and its Apple listing.
  • LoginPlan a working demo account and live backend for Apple's review if your app requires sign-in.
  • AccessKeep developer accounts, signing access and the code repository in your business's name.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline of app development

The scope determines the work to design, build and test.

  • Screen design

Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing work across screens.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details.

  • Offline use

Showing previously loaded data is a smaller task than allowing offline edits and resolving conflicts when records sync.

  • Staff tools

An admin panel needs its own functions, such as editing content, looking up customers and issuing refunds, alongside the app and backend.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development

  • Putting sign-up before value

Let people use the app without logging in when it has no significant account-based features.

  • Asking for notifications immediately

Request permission when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On newer Android versions, notifications stay off until the user allows them.

  • Adding tracking without updating store information

Review the Google Play Data safety answers when you add an analytics or advertising SDK, including the data that SDK collects.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Kerala

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price. The main drivers include the number of user roles, real-time features such as chat or tracking, and whether you already have a backend with a documented API. Each role needs its own screens and permissions; real-time features add backend work. Agree the scope before requesting a quote.

How do I choose an app development company?

Choose a company that can explain its approach to the product you want to launch. For a consumer or marketplace app, ask how it will cover both stores from a shared codebase and measure whether people return. Use those answers to compare the proposed work against your goals.

Does an app with accounts need a deletion option?

Yes. If users can create an account, plan the deletion path as part of the app. Apple requires people to be able to start deleting their account inside the app. Google Play also requires an in-app path for account and associated data deletion, plus a web link for deletion requests.

Who owns the app code and content?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you control over those assets if you decide to change how the product is maintained. Ask for access to the code and content as part of your project handover, so your business can retain them.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, but native code changes and new permissions still need a store release.

Can the app share data with my website?

Yes. We can build a backend that serves your app, website and admin tools, keeping customer accounts and data in one place. When discussing the scope, show us which parts of your website and staff tools need access to the same information as the app.
