Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Start with who will update the site. WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most pages itself. It offers a large choice of plugins, though someone needs to keep them updated for security. A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants fast pages and a design without template limits, and is happy to ask a developer to make structural changes.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that an owner wants to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away can mean rebuilding. A headless setup pairs a custom front end with a separate editor; it suits heavy editing needs but adds parts to host and maintain.
We recommend an option after learning how your team works. WordPress gives you extensive editing control; a custom Next.js site can also include an editor, so the choice does not have to come down to editing alone.
Local
What Tampa organisations need from their websites
Tampa has healthcare, finance, construction and professional services businesses. A clinic needs service pages, practitioner profiles, opening hours and a booking or call option that works on a phone. A finance or professional services firm needs pages that let prospective clients check its services and people before calling. For a construction firm, a portfolio with photographs and project details gives visitors work to assess.
The University of South Florida and the University of Tampa also have audiences to consider. For an organisation with several kinds of content, the sitemap needs to give visitors a clear route through the pages on desktop and mobile. We map those pages and refine the designs with your feedback, so the structure is agreed before development.
Rules
What a United States website project has to handle
For a business open to the public, accessibility belongs in the brief. US guidance says the ADA covers services offered on the web and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target with you and use it to guide the page designs and build; WCAG has A, AA and AAA levels, and its latest version is encouraged.
If the project includes commercial email, we set up its templates with a valid physical postal address and a clear opt-out. Your process also needs to honour opt-out requests within 10 business days.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. In winter, India is 10h30m ahead of Eastern time; the difference is 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback and see the work between calls.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what visitors should do on the site. We use those answers to shape the sitemap.
- 02
Plan the pages
We make wireframes before visual design. Review the content and its order at this stage; colours come later.
- 03
Build and test
We develop the site in clean code or an editable CMS and test it on real devices and browsers. You review the work as it takes shape.
- 04
Check before launch
Proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. This is your chance to catch small errors before visitors see them.
- 05
Launch and hand over
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the setup.

What to have ready before we talk

- PrioritiesThe services or products you most want to feature.
- Website examplesSites you like and dislike, with a reason for each.
- Account accessLogin details, or the contact who holds them, for your domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console.

Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The work involved depends on the pages, material and assets you need us to handle.
Page templates
Pages sharing a layout need less design and build work than pages that each need a distinct layout.
Content
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller; copywriting, photography or translation add work.
Migration
Blog posts, news archives and downloadable files from an old site need moving and checking.
Brand assets
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building a website
Choosing a platform too early
Decide who will update the site and how often before settling on the technology.
Designing with placeholder copy
Bring real headings and paragraphs into the layouts early, before their length disrupts a design that looked finished.
Copying every old page
Keep the pages your visitors need and make service information clear, so your team has less to maintain.
Leaving search checks until launch
Check page titles, the sitemap and any development indexing block before the site goes live.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Tampa
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is a website still worth investing in?
A website gives you a place to present your services and measure enquiries. We build pages with metadata, structured data, a sitemap and fast load times so they are ready for search. After launch, track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics, and check which pages visitors started from.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The main drivers include whether the design needs to be custom or adapted from a template, and how much content has to be gathered or written. Service descriptions, case studies and photos all need attention. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Share the files you already use and tell us if anything is missing, so we can account for that work when discussing the site and its scope.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers. We also plan how enquiries are handled: which inbox gets each form, who receives quote requests, what the confirmation says and whether mobile visitors see WhatsApp or click-to-call buttons.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Keep the domain and hosting accounts in your business’s name and grant access for the work. That way, you retain control of those accounts instead of having to ask an agency or freelancer for your own site back.
Who updates the website after launch?
Your team can take responsibility for keeping news, projects and job posts current. Decide who owns each area before launch, so updates do not sit untouched. Visitors may question whether a company is still trading when its newest post is years old.
