Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Start with your editing needs. WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to change most of the site itself. Its plugin selection gives you options for adding features, but someone needs to keep the site updated for security. Decide who will take that responsibility before choosing it.
A custom Next.js site suits you if fast pages, security and a design without template limits are priorities. You can still have an editor, although a developer generally handles structural changes. A headless setup separates the custom front end from the editor; it suits heavier editing needs but adds moving parts to host and maintain.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site you want to run yourself. You get less control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean a rebuild. We recommend an approach after learning how your team works and how much of the site you expect to edit.
Local
What Brampton organisations need from their websites
The city has manufacturing activity, including an Alstom assembly plant. For a manufacturer or supplier, capability pages, certifications and downloadable specifications give prospective customers material to assess, while a quote form should ask for enough detail to make a useful response.
William Osler Health System has campuses in the city. A health organisation with news and careers content needs a clear way to keep those pages current; we provide an editor your team can use without training.
Sheridan College's Davis Campus serves the city. For an education organisation, the page structure should make it clear where visitors can find information and who handles each kind of enquiry.
Rules
What a website project in Canada has to handle
Ontario accessibility requirements apply to public websites and web content of businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees. We agree an accessibility target in the brief and design the pages against it, taking the applicable WCAG requirements into account.
If you collect sign-ups for commercial emails, CASL requires consent, sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism. We set up the sign-up form to capture consent and include space for the sender's current mailing address and an unsubscribe link in the messages.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. Eastern Time moves 1 hour closer to India during daylight saving time, so we use the shared board to keep feedback and decisions visible between calls.
- 01
Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the scope together before design starts.
- 02
Plan pages
We use wireframes to establish what goes on each page and in what order. Your feedback here should focus on content and priorities; colours come later.
- 03
Build and test
We develop the site in clean code or a CMS your team can edit, then test it on real devices and browsers.
- 04
Check content
You proofread every page, submit each form once and confirm who receives its messages.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you have, along with the decisions your team still needs to make.
- Your logo in SVG, AI or EPS, plus brand colours and fonts.
- A ranked list of the services or products you want to feature.
- Sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
- Account logins for your domain, hosting, email and search tools, or the name of their holder.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work, or a plan to arrange them.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The work changes with what is ready and what the site needs to do.
Features
Booking, member logins or a CRM connection add design, build and testing work.
Content
Ready-to-publish copy and photos keep the scope smaller; writing, photography or translation add work.
Migration
Existing blog posts, news archives and downloadable files need moving and checking.
Brand
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding the colours and typefaces during the project.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Brampton
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much should I pay someone to build a website?
There is no fixed price. The scope of the pages, the features you need and how much content is ready all shape the work. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed. Decide early who will write service descriptions and gather photos, as that content needs an owner.
Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Share the files you have so the page designs can use them from the outset; tell us which parts of the identity are still being decided.
What does the website service include?
It includes a sitemap, wireframes, desktop and mobile page designs, development and launch setup. We refine the designs with your feedback. For development, we use Next.js or WordPress, with the choice guided by how your team needs to manage the site.
Will we own the website when it is finished?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Hold the domain and hosting accounts in your business's name and grant access to the people working on the site. That keeps control of those accounts with you when responsibilities change.
What should we manage after launch?
Assign someone to update news, projects and job posts, and review how people enquire. Track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions in analytics, then check which pages those actions started from. That gives you a practical basis for deciding which content needs attention.
