What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform, native or web app?

A cross-platform app suits work built around accounts, forms, lists, bookings, payments or content. We usually use React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android while adding native modules when a feature needs them. That gives you coverage on both platforms without maintaining entirely separate app codebases.

React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. If you already have a React web app, some logic can be shared, and web developers can contribute. For an app that needs deep device features, we choose a native build instead; the device requirements should guide that decision.

A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool. It skips store review, but it does not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On an iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after the user adds it to the Home Screen. Consider that limitation before making notifications part of the daily workflow.

Local

What Nagaland organisations need from an app

Agriculture and forestry contribute a majority of Nagaland’s GDP. A field team working with records in those sectors needs forms that work without signal, with photos, signatures and job locations available to the office after syncing.

Tourism and cottage industries are significant activities in the state. A shop serving repeat customers needs a quick route to reorder, saved payment details and notifications timed around the customer’s actions, with a checkout that is easy to finish.

The state has a central university, an engineering college and a medical college. An organisation launching a consumer product for its audience needs to decide what the first release will let people do, cover both app stores and measure whether users return.

Rules

What an app project in India has to handle

For an app taking customer payments, the checkout needs to reflect how the payment is collected. UPI supports person-to-merchant payments, so we set up the checkout flow for that option when it is part of the agreed scope. A non-bank provider aggregating customer payments for merchants must have RBI authorisation; we account for the authorised payment provider when planning the checkout.

How it runs

How a mobile app project runs with us

You speak directly to the people designing and building your product. Bring the staff who know the daily workflow into those conversations, so decisions reflect how the app will be used.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Explain the task you want users to complete and who will manage the information behind it.

  2. 02

    Design

We create and refine iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Review the flow as a user would, from the first screen through the main task.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives you a chance to change a screen before it becomes built functionality.

  4. 04

    Build and test

We send test builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app yourself and share what is unclear or missing.

  5. 05

    Prepare for submission

If your app has a login, provide a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s review. Leave room in the launch plan for fixes and resubmission.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

A few practical details make the first conversation more useful.

  • List what users must do in the first release, in the order they do it.
  • Identify your website, booking software, CRM or payment provider, their APIs and the people with admin access.
  • Start registering Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
  • Prepare a privacy policy that reflects the data the app collects, for the app and its Apple listing.
  • Bring details of any existing web platform whose accounts and data the app should reuse.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline

The amount of design, backend and testing work depends on what the app needs to do.

  • User roles

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Interface variations

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • Existing systems

A documented backend API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel need to be built from scratch.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details for Apple’s requirements.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development

  • Do not put sign-up in front of everything. Let people use an app without logging in when it has no significant account-based features.

  • Do not request notification permission immediately. Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order; on Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until permission is given.

  • Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name so the app remains easier to move.

  • Update Google Play’s Data safety answers when adding analytics or advertising tools. The form must cover data collected by third-party SDKs.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Nagaland

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. The scope drives the work: an admin panel for staff, the level of offline editing and sync, and the rules and settings for push notifications all affect what needs building. Showing the last loaded data offline is a smaller task than resolving conflicts between records edited without signal.

Which app development company should I choose?

Choose a team that can explain how the app fits your existing systems and how you will assess its use after launch. Ask whether the app, website and admin tools can share a backend, and how you will see where users leave the main task and whether they return.

How should I plan payments in the app?

Start with what the customer is buying. Apple requires in-app purchase for digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app; physical goods and services used outside it need another payment method. Google Play billing is also required for digital goods and subscriptions, and must not be used for physical goods or services.

What should be included in the first release?

Include the main user task and the tools needed to see whether it works. We build push notifications and include analytics and crash reporting in the first release. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry can show which screens people use, where they give up and which devices crash.

Who owns the app and its store accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. Ask about account access before work starts, so the business retains control of the product and its release process.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features as your needs change. We provide ongoing support after launch. Google Play also requires new apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so regular maintenance releases belong in your plan.
