Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?
React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. It gives you a shared codebase for iOS and Android, and web developers can contribute. Some logic can also be shared with a React web app. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design that needs screens to look identical across platforms. Your team needs to be comfortable working in Dart.
Native development fits an app built around deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features. The trade-off is separate codebases to build and maintain. A progressive web app can suit a staff tool and skips store review, although it needs packaging to appear in app stores. On an iPhone, it can ask for notification permission only after someone adds it to their Home Screen. Start with the functions people need, then weigh the maintenance work against those requirements.
Local
What Jharkhand businesses need from an app
Industry is concentrated in Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Ranchi. If your industrial business already has a web platform that customers use frequently, an app can reuse their accounts and data through the same backend. That gives you a mobile route into an existing service.
Agriculture is a major sector, and Jharcraft promotes sericulture and weaving products. If you sell products to repeat customers, consider reordering, loyalty and saved payment details, with a fast checkout and notifications timed to the purchase.
For a clinic, salon or gym in Ranchi or Dumka, the useful screens might be booking, reminders and payment for customers, alongside a view of the day’s schedule for staff.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
UPI is a mobile payment option for payments to merchants. Non-bank payment aggregators serving merchants must have the required authorisation, so the checkout needs a suitable provider as well as a payment screen. We design the checkout with a UPI option and a hand-off to an authorised aggregator, such as Razorpay or Cashfree Payments. Agree who holds the provider account and access when you plan the payment flow.
How it runs
How a mobile app project runs with us
We are a web, app and AI studio in India. We work remotely with clients through video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards, so you can review decisions without travelling to meet us.
- 01
Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the scope with you before the work moves into design.
- 02
Design
Review the proposed iOS and Android screens and flows. We refine them with your feedback before writing code.
- 03
Check the prototype
Put the clickable screens in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback helps identify changes while screens are cheaper to alter.
- 04
Test the build
Try the app on your own phone as development proceeds, using TestFlight on iPhone or a Google Play testing track. Tell us what gets in the way during real use.
- 05
Submit
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain access to the accounts used for release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the decisions and access details that will help us define the first release.
- List what users must do first, in the order they will do it.
- Note the website, CRM, booking, ERP or payment systems involved, whether each has an API, and who holds admin access.
- Start registering company developer accounts early; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number for verification.
- Plan for a closed test if you are using a new personal Google Play developer account.
- Decide what you want to learn from first-release analytics and crash reports, such as where users stop and which devices crash.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timing of app development
The scope determines how much design, backend and testing work is needed.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Screen variations
Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User content
Apps with user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details.
Existing systems
A documented backend API reduces work; a new backend and admin panel add substantial scope.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development
Wrapping a website in an app shell
Plan useful app functions beyond the existing site. A repackaged site risks rejection during Apple’s review.
Demanding sign-up too early
Let people see and use relevant parts of the app first when it has no significant account-based features.
Asking for notification permission on first launch
Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order, so the request has context.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends on the platform approach, the backend needed to serve the app and website, and whether the app includes purchases or subscriptions. Agree those requirements before requesting a quote, so it can reflect the work you actually need.
Which company should I choose for app development?
Choose a provider that explains how your app will be published and how its data will be managed. Ask who holds the developer accounts, and whether the app, website and admin tools can share a backend. We handle store submission under your accounts and build shared backends.
What is included beyond the app screens?
The work can include a backend and an admin panel as well as the app itself. Staff may need to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds or block abusive accounts. Notifications also need a sending service, targeting rules and settings where users can switch off categories.
Who owns the app and its accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name too. Accounts held by an agency or freelancer can make the app difficult to move if you change providers later.
What support does an app need after launch?
Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so maintenance releases need attention. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, while native changes and new permissions still need a store release.
What happens if users can create accounts?
The app needs a route for users to start deleting their accounts. Apple requires that route inside the app; deactivation alone is insufficient. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path for the account and associated data, plus a web link for deletion requests.
