Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?
A cross-platform app suits products built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content. We usually use React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android while adding native modules where a feature needs them. For deep device features, we go native. That choice changes how much platform-specific work the project needs.
React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders the interface components of each platform. Web developers can contribute, and some logic can be shared with a React web app. Flutter uses Dart and draws its own interface; it suits a highly branded design when you want screens to look identical across platforms and are comfortable working in Dart.
A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool and skips store review. It does not appear in app stores unless packaged for them, and on iPhone it can request notification permission only after being added to the Home Screen. We start by learning about your users and goals, then agree the scope with you.
Local
What Dubai businesses need from an app
Trade and real estate are part of Dubai's economy. A business with delivery or property maintenance staff needs job forms that work without a signal, with photos, signatures and location details that sync to the office when the connection returns.
Dubai International Financial Centre organisations that already have a customer web platform may need frequent users to reach the same accounts and data from an app. Reusing the existing backend keeps those services connected.
Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City include technology and media organisations. A startup launching a consumer product needs coverage across both app stores and analytics that show whether people return after installing.
Rules
What an app project in the United Arab Emirates needs to handle
Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used. If your users need both, we design and test the language versions and right-to-left screens as part of the app, including the flows people use to complete their main tasks.
Personal data collection affects the build. We set up a consent flow for the information your app collects and plan where account data will be stored and transferred across borders, taking the UAE's consent and cross-border transfer requirements into account.
How it runs
How a mobile app development project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 1h30m ahead, so the shared board gives you a place to review decisions and leave feedback between calls.
- 01
Design
We create screens for iOS and Android and refine them with your feedback before writing code. You can check that the main flow reflects how your customers or staff work.
- 02
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff and tell us where they hesitate. A screen is cheaper to change at this stage than after it has been built.
- 03
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight on iPhone and Google Play's internal or closed testing tracks. Use them for real tasks and share what needs attention.
- 04
Prepare for review
If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for submission. An incomplete or crashing build can need fixes and resubmission.
- 05
Release
We handle the store listings, submission and review. You can check the listing details and the app itself before it reaches users.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the details that will help us define the first release and identify who controls the systems involved.
- List the tasks users must complete in the first release, in the order they will do them.
- Note the website, CRM, booking, ERP or payment systems involved, whether each has an API and who holds admin access.
- Plan to register Apple and Google developer accounts in your company's name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
- Identify who will hold the code repository and signing access, so they remain in your business's name.
- If users can create accounts, plan an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests on Google Play.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and work involved
The scope behind each screen determines how much needs to be built and tested.
Existing backend
A documented API reduces work; a new backend and admin panel can be as substantial as the app.
Integrations
Payment gateways, maps, booking systems and hardware each need setup, testing and handling for failures.
Real-time features
Live tracking and chat need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
User content
Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details for Apple review.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development
Requiring sign-up too early
Let people see value before asking for an account. Apple asks apps without significant account-based features to allow use without logging in.
Requesting notifications immediately
Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until the user allows them.
Adding an SDK without updating privacy answers
Check the data collected by analytics and advertising SDKs against Google Play's Data safety form before release.
Questions

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the quote. Work increases when people need to create and edit records offline and sync conflicts later, when notifications need audience rules and settings, or when purchases and subscriptions are included. We agree the scope with you before discussing a quote.
How should I choose an app development company?
Ask how the team will measure use and investigate failures after release. A useful plan includes analytics and crash reporting in the first release, then checks where people drop out, how many return and the crash-free rate. Those details give you something practical to compare when reviewing proposals.
What is included beyond the app screens?
An app project usually also needs a backend and an admin panel. The backend holds accounts and data, while your staff use the panel to edit content, look up customers or block abusive accounts. We can build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools.
Who owns the app and developer accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts, so the accounts used to publish the app remain yours. Keep access to those accounts within your business as part of your release arrangements.
What support is available after launch?
Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out through an over-the-air tool such as Expo EAS Update; native code changes, new permissions and Expo SDK upgrades still need a store release.
How do payments work for digital products?
The type of purchase affects the checkout. Google Play requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app, while physical goods and services such as groceries, transport or event tickets must not use it. Some regions allow alternative billing, so identify what customers will purchase before planning checkout.
