Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform, native or web app?
For an app centred on accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content, a cross-platform build is a practical place to start. We usually use React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules when a feature needs them. That gives you shared code without ruling out platform-specific work.
A fully native build suits an app that depends on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. The trade-off is separate codebases to build and maintain. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design when your team is comfortable working in Dart.
A progressive web app can suit a staff tool and skips store review. It will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them, and on iPhone it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to their Home Screen. Choose the route around the features and distribution your users need.
Local
What Sharjah organisations need from an app
More than 6000 companies operate from SAIF Zone. For a shop or restaurant there with repeat customers, an app could make reordering and loyalty easier to use, with a fast checkout, saved payment details and notifications timed around the customer’s needs.
Sharjah’s industrial area has helped make the city a commercial centre. An industrial business with delivery, maintenance or inspection teams can give staff forms, photos, signatures and location details on each job, then sync records to the office when signal returns.
Some universities are based in University City. A university whose users already return to a web platform could give them an app that uses the same accounts and data; we can build a shared backend for the app, website and admin tools.
Rules
What an app project in the United Arab Emirates has to handle
Arabic is the UAE’s official language, while English and other languages are widely used. If your users need Arabic and English, we design the language choices and screen layouts into the app from the start.
Where personal-data processing requires consent under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, we set up consent collection in the relevant app flow and account for cross-border transfers when planning where data is handled.
For physical goods or services used outside the app, checkout needs a payment method other than Apple’s in-app purchase. Stripe supports businesses in the UAE, so we can connect its card gateway where it fits your checkout.
How it runs
How an app development project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 1h30m ahead, so we use the shared board to keep decisions and feedback visible across the difference.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want users to complete and the outcome you need from the app.
- 02
Design
We design and refine the iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. You can check that the flow reflects how your customers or staff work.
- 03
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few real customers or staff. Their feedback gives us a chance to change a screen before it becomes more costly to alter.
- 04
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks. You can try the app in use and share what needs attention.
- 05
Launch
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain control of the accounts used for release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring these details to make the first discussion useful.
- List the tasks users need in the first release, in the order they would do them.
- Note the website, CRM, booking system or payment provider involved, whether each has an API and who holds admin access.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data your app collects; Apple requires a link in the listing and app.
- If you have a new personal Google Play developer account, identify people for the required closed test before production release.
- Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name so the app remains movable.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of app development
The scope determines how much design, building and testing the project needs.
Existing backend
A documented API reduces work; a new backend and admin panel can be as much work as the app itself.
Integrations
Each payment gateway, map, CRM, booking system or device needs setup, testing and failure handling.
Screen design
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User-generated content
Filtering, reporting, blocking and contact details add moderation work when users publish content.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with your app
Wrapping a website in an app shell
Give people a useful app experience beyond the existing site; a repackaged site risks Apple rejection.
Demanding sign-up too early
Let people see and use the parts that do not need an account before asking them to register.
Adding tracking without updating the listing
When an analytics or advertising SDK is added, update the store privacy answers. Google Play’s Data safety form must cover data collected by third-party SDKs.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Sharjah
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the work. Offline viewing is different from letting people edit records without signal and resolve conflicts when they sync. Live tracking, chat and presence also need persistent connections and more backend work. We agree the scope with you before discussing the project.
How do I choose an app development company?
Choose a team that can explain its platform choice and the details behind the features you need. For example, ask how notifications will be sent, who receives each message and whether users can switch off categories. We usually use React Native and choose native development when deep device features call for it.
What is included in an app build?
The work can include the app, a backend shared with your website and admin tools, plus notifications and purchases. We build the shared backend and set up push notifications. Where subscriptions or in-app purchases are part of the scope, we build those for both stores.
Will I own the app and its accounts?
Yes. You own your code, content and domain without lock-in, and store listings, submission and review are handled under your own developer accounts. Keeping those accounts in your control means you are not dependent on an agency account to manage the app’s store presence.
What happens after the app launches?
Plan for maintenance releases and check how people use the app. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Track retention, drop-off in the main task and the crash-free rate. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, while native changes need a store release.
Does an app with accounts need a deletion option?
Yes. Apple requires users who can create an account to be able to start deleting it inside the app. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests. Alongside those user-facing flows, an admin panel gives staff a place to manage customer accounts.
