What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you choose cross-platform or native development?

Cross-platform development suits many apps built around accounts, forms, lists, maps, bookings, payments or content. React Native and Flutter share most of their code between iOS and Android, giving you a common foundation to maintain while still producing an app for each platform. The choice affects how the interface is built and which skills your project needs.

We usually use React Native. It is written in JavaScript or TypeScript and uses each platform’s own interface components; web developers can contribute, and some logic can be shared with a React website. We add native modules when a feature needs them and choose native development when the app needs deep device features.

Flutter uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design where screens need to look identical across platforms. It also means working in Dart. As you assess the options, look at the features the app needs and who will work on the code after launch.

Local

What Riyadh Region organisations need from an app

Riyadh is the administrative seat of Riyadh Province. For an appointment business in the region, such as a clinic, salon or gym, the useful screens are straightforward: customers need to book and pay, while staff need a view of the day’s schedule and reminders need to reach customers.

Delivery, maintenance and inspection teams in the region need a different set of tools. An app can collect forms, photos, signatures and location for each job while staff are offline, then sync the information to the office when a signal returns. The scope should cover what staff record on the job as well as what the office needs to see.

Rules

What an app project in Saudi Arabia has to handle

Arabic is Saudi Arabia’s language. If you need Arabic screens, we design and test the right-to-left layouts across the app, including any custom interface work. Agree the languages early so those layouts are included in the screen designs.

For an e-commerce checkout, mada cards can be used for online payments through 3D Secure. We set up the checkout around the payment provider and the goods or services you sell. Digital content and subscriptions used inside an iOS app require in-app purchase; physical goods and services used outside it need another payment method.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 2h30m ahead, so we use the shared board to keep feedback and decisions visible between conversations.

  1. 01

    Test the prototype

Put the clickable screens in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives you a chance to change a screen before it has been built, when changes cost less.

  2. 02

    Try builds on your phone

During development, we share test builds through TestFlight for iPhone and Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks. You can use the app and report what needs attention.

  3. 03

    Prepare the listings

We handle the App Store and Google Play listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You provide the account access needed for the release.

  4. 04

    Check the release

We include analytics and crash reporting in the first release, using tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry to show screen use, drop-offs and device crashes.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Gather the details that will shape access, integrations and store submission.

  • Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • Connected systemsList your website, CRM, booking or ERP software and payment provider, noting their APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Privacy policyPrepare a policy that matches the data the app collects, for the Apple listing and the app itself.
  • Store testingPlan a closed test if you intend to use a new personal Google Play developer account.
  • Login accessHave a working demo account and live backend ready for an Apple submission that requires login.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline?

The scope determines how much design, backend work and testing the project needs.

  • User roles

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.

  • Real-time features

Live tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and additional backend work.

  • Integrations

Payment gateways, maps, booking systems and hardware each add setup, testing and failure handling.

  • User-generated content

Content filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details add moderation work to an app.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with app development

  • Wrapping a website

An app shell around an existing site risks Apple rejection and gives people little reason to install it. Plan useful app features beyond the website wrapper.

  • Forcing an early sign-up

Let people use an app without logging in when it has no significant account-based features, so they can see its value first.

  • Forgetting SDK data

When adding analytics or advertising software, update the store privacy answers. Google Play’s Data safety form must cover data collected by third-party SDKs.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Riyadh Region

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. The scope, push notification requirements and payment or subscription features all affect the work. We first learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you; that gives the project a basis for a quote.

How should I choose an app development company?

Choose a team you can speak to directly and ask how it handles access to the product. You talk directly to the people who design and build with us. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name so the app is easier to move later.

Can the app use the same accounts as my website?

Yes. We can build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools, keeping customer accounts and data in one place. This is useful when customers already use your web platform frequently and you want the app to use the same underlying information.

Who owns the app and its store accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Store publication also happens under your own developer accounts. Having those accounts under your control gives you access to the listings and the submitted app after the initial release.

What happens after the app launches?

Plan for maintenance releases and measure how people use the app. Google Play requires new apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. For the product itself, look at how many people return, where they leave the main task and whether the crash-free rate changes.

Do customers need a way to delete their accounts?

Yes, if the app allows account creation. Apple requires people to be able to start account deletion inside the app; deactivation alone is insufficient. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path for the account and associated data, plus a web link for deletion requests.
