What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?

We usually build with React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. It uses each platform’s interface components, and some logic can also be shared with a React website. This is a practical choice when you need an app on both platforms without maintaining separate app codebases.

Native development suits an app that relies on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. You maintain separate Swift and Kotlin codebases, so there is more to build and maintain. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a highly customised design that should look identical on both platforms.

A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool. It skips store review, though it needs packaging to appear in app stores, and an iPhone user must add it to the Home Screen before it can ask to send notifications. We help you choose by examining the device features and interface your app needs.

Local

What businesses in Al-Qassim Region need from an app

Agriculture is a cornerstone of the region’s economy. An agricultural business with inspection or maintenance staff needs a way to record jobs away from the office: offline forms, photos, signatures and location details, followed by a sync when signal returns.

The region produces and exports dates. A date seller serving repeat customers needs a straightforward route to reorder, a fast checkout and notifications sent at useful moments. Saved payment details and loyalty features are choices to discuss when planning the customer flow.

The region also hosts a camel market. A seller using an app needs tools behind the screens customers see: an admin panel where staff can edit content, look up customer accounts and handle refunds without calling a developer.

Rules

What an app project in Saudi Arabia has to handle

Arabic is the Kingdom’s language. When your customers need Arabic screens, we design the app’s screens and flows for iOS and Android with that language in mind. Agree the wording and screen layouts during design so they can be reviewed before the build.

For a checkout taking mada cards, we set up an online payment flow that supports mada through 3D Secure. The goods being sold also change the payment setup: Google Play billing is required for in-app digital goods and subscriptions, while physical goods and services use a different payment route.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 2h30m ahead; the shared board keeps decisions and feedback visible across that difference.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want people to complete in the app.

  2. 02

    Design

Put the clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback helps identify screen changes before development work starts.

  3. 03

    Test

We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use them for the real tasks your customers or staff will carry out.

  4. 04

    Submit

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain the accounts used for the release.

  5. 05

    Review

If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for Apple’s review. Leave room in the launch plan for a fix and resubmission if needed.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

A short set of notes helps us agree what belongs in the first release.

  • List the tasks users must complete, in the order they will do them.
  • Name the website, CRM, booking system or payment provider involved; note available APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Start the Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name, including the D-U-N-S verification needed for organisation accounts.
  • If you have a new personal Google Play account, identify people for its required closed test before production release.
  • Note which customer accounts and data the app should share with your website and admin tools.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline of app development

The scope determines the work involved in design, development and testing.

  • User roles

Customers, drivers and staff need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than data loaded on request.

  • Integrations

Payment gateways, booking systems and hardware each need setup, testing and failure handling.

  • Existing systems

A documented backend API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel add substantial development.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Blocking the app with sign-up

Let people see and use relevant features without logging in when the app has no significant account-based features.

  • Asking for notification permission immediately

Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications remain off until the user allows them.

  • Leaving access with an agency

Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name so the app is easier to move.

  • Adding a tracking SDK without updating privacy answers

Include data collected by third-party SDKs in Google Play’s Data safety form.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Al-Qassim Region

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. Work grows when users need to create and edit records offline with later syncing, or when the design includes several languages, right-to-left scripts or tablet layouts. Tell us which of those are needed in the first release so the scope can reflect the work.

How do I choose an app development company?

Choose a team whose working arrangements let you discuss the product directly with the people making it. Ask who will design and build your screens, and how you will give feedback during the work. With us, you talk directly to the people designing and building your product.

What is included in mobile app development?

The work includes the screens people use and the backend that handles accounts, data, notifications and admin tools. Push notifications are part of the service. If the app allows people to create an account, Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests.

Will I own the app code?

Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you control over the assets behind the product if you decide to change how it is maintained. Discuss access to those assets when agreeing the project scope, so your team knows where they are held.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan regular maintenance releases, including updates to meet Google Play’s Android API requirements. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out through an over-the-air update; native code changes, new permissions and Expo SDK upgrades still need a store release. Decide how those releases will be managed.

Can the app use the same accounts as my website?

Yes. We can build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools. This is useful when customers already use your web platform frequently: they can use the same accounts and data in the app. Bring details of the existing platform so we can discuss what needs to connect.
