What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?

React Native is a useful starting point for many apps. It uses one codebase for iOS and Android, renders each platform’s own interface components and lets web developers contribute. Some logic can also be shared with a React website. We use native modules where the app needs them, and choose a native build when deep device features call for it.

Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded product where you want screens to look identical across platforms. The trade-off is that your team needs to be willing to work in Dart. That choice affects who can maintain and extend the app later.

A progressive web app can suit an internal staff tool and avoids store review. It will not appear in the app stores unless it is packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after the user adds it to the Home Screen. Decide how staff will access the tool and whether store distribution or notifications are part of the job before choosing this route.

Market

What customers and staff in Saudi Arabia may expect

Arabic is the language of Saudi Arabia. If your users need Arabic screens, we plan the right-to-left layout as part of the screen design and test it across the app. Adding another language affects each screen that carries text, as well as the layouts your team needs to review.

The useful features depend on the work your users come back to do. A shop or restaurant with repeat customers might prioritise reordering, saved payment details and a fast checkout. For a delivery or inspection team, the scope might instead centre on job forms, photos and signatures that reach the office when a connection returns.

Rules

What a mobile app project in Saudi Arabia has to handle

For an e-commerce checkout, mada cards can be used for online payments through 3D Secure. We plan the checkout and payment-provider connection around the cards you want to accept, including the 3D Secure step. The payment route also depends on what you sell: Apple requires in-app purchase for digital content and subscriptions used in the app, while physical goods and services used outside it need another payment method.

On Google Play, digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app generally use Google Play billing. Physical goods and services, such as groceries or transport, must use another payment route. We establish that distinction in the checkout scope before building the payment flow.

How it runs

How a mobile app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 2h30m ahead, so we use those channels to keep decisions and feedback visible as work moves between your business and our studio.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want users to complete and the people who need to use it.

  2. 02

    Design

We design screens for iOS and Android and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Review the flows with the people responsible for the service.

  3. 03

    Build

We develop the app and its supporting features. For the cross-platform route, the shared React Native codebase covers both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  4. 04

    Submit

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. If the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and keep the backend live for review.

  5. 05

    Release

We handle the App Store and Google Play release. Leave room in your launch planning for a fix and resubmission if the review finds an incomplete or crashing feature.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring these details so we can discuss the first release and the systems around it.

  • List the tasks users must complete in the first release, in the order they will do them.
  • Note the website, CRM, booking system or payment provider involved, whether each has an API and who holds admin access.
  • Start registering your developer accounts in the company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
  • Prepare a privacy policy that reflects the data the app collects, for its store listing and the app itself.
  • Plan to keep the code repository and signing access in your business’s name.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline of mobile app development

The amount of design, backend work and testing changes with the scope you choose.

  • Live features

Tracking and chat need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Integrations

A payment gateway, CRM, booking system or scanner each adds setup, testing and failure handling.

  • Backend

A documented existing API reduces the build; a new backend and admin panel can be as substantial as the app.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated content need filtering, reporting, user blocking and published contact details.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development

  • Forcing registration too early

Let people see useful parts of the app before asking them to sign up when the product does not need significant account-based features.

  • Asking for notifications on first launch

Request permission when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications remain off until the user allows them.

  • Adding tracking without updating store disclosures

Check the data collected by analytics and advertising SDKs against Google Play’s Data safety form whenever those tools change.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Saudi Arabia

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price; the scope drives the cost. For example, saving the last loaded data for offline viewing is a smaller task than allowing offline edits and resolving conflicts when they sync. A native build for deep device features also means maintaining separate codebases. Agree the scope before asking for a quote.

How should I choose an app development company?

Choose a team that will test the proposed flow with users and plan how to measure the release. Put a clickable prototype in front of customers or staff while screens are still being designed. Ask how analytics and crash reporting will show where users drop out and which devices have problems.

Does an app with accounts need a deletion feature?

Yes. If people can create accounts, Apple requires them to be able to start account deletion inside the app; deactivation alone is not enough. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path for the account and associated data, plus a web link where people can request deletion. Include those routes in the account flow.

Can the app use the same accounts as my website?

Yes. We can build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools, keeping accounts and data in one place. This is useful to consider when customers already use your web platform frequently: the app can build on the existing service instead of starting with a separate set of customer accounts.

Who owns the app and its code?

You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. That gives your business control of the product after release. Keep ownership in view when agreeing the scope and arranging access for the people who will manage the app, its store accounts and its supporting systems.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features after release. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level; an outdated app can become unavailable to new users on newer devices. Review retention, task drop-off and crash-free rate to see how the release is working for users.
