Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform app or choose another option?
For an app built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content, a cross-platform build is a practical starting point. We use React Native to share a codebase across iOS and Android, adding native modules where a feature needs them. That shared code reduces the amount you maintain across the platforms, while still leaving room for platform-specific work.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded app where you want screens to look identical on both platforms. The choice also means working in Dart, so consider who will maintain the app after release.
A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool. It skips store review, but it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them; on iPhone, it can request notification permission only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. We start by learning your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you.
Local
What Eastern Province businesses need from an app
For a maintenance or inspection team working with organisations in Jubail Industrial City, the app needs to work on the job as well as back at the office. Offline forms, photos, signatures and location records give staff a way to capture the work and sync it when signal returns.
Dates are a major agricultural product in the province. If you sell them to repeat customers through a shop, an app could give those customers a quicker way to reorder, use loyalty rewards and access saved payment details. A fast checkout and carefully timed notifications deserve attention in that flow.
Rules
What an app project in Saudi Arabia has to handle
Arabic is Saudi Arabia’s language. If your customers need Arabic screens, we plan those screens as part of the app design for iOS and Android, so the language is accounted for in the flows you review before development.
For physical goods or services, we plan a card-gateway checkout with mada support; mada cards can be used for online payments through 3D Secure. Digital features and subscriptions used in the app follow the stores’ in-app payment rules, so we set up the purchase flow to match what you sell.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 2h30m ahead, so the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback between calls.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the user tasks you want the first release to cover.
- 02
Design
We prepare screen designs for your review before code is written. Your feedback helps us refine the flows while changes are still on the drawing board.
- 03
Build and test
We build the app and send test builds to your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks. Use them and tell us what needs attention.
- 04
Launch
We prepare the App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release. You review the listing information with us as the app is prepared for the stores.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A few decisions and details will make the first conversation more useful.
- List the tasks users must complete in the first release, in the order they will do them.
- Identify your website, CRM, booking system, ERP or payment provider, and note which have an API and who holds admin access.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app will collect; Apple requires links in the listing and the app.
- For a new personal Google Play developer account, plan for the required closed test with opted-in testers before production release.
- If people will create accounts, plan an in-app deletion path and a web deletion request link for Google Play.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of app development
The work grows with the flows, connections and screens you need to build and test.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
A payment gateway, booking system or scanner adds setup, testing and handling for failures.
Screen design
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with app development
Wrapping a website in an app shell risks rejection. Give people useful app features beyond the repackaged site.
Asking for notification permission on first launch wastes the request. Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order; on Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until the user allows them.
Adding an analytics or advertising SDK without updating store privacy answers creates a mismatch. Include data collected by third-party SDKs in Google Play’s Data safety form.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have an app developed?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends heavily on the backend you already have and the level of offline work you need. Showing previously loaded data without signal is a smaller task than creating and editing records offline with conflict handling. Once we agree the scope, we can prepare a quote.
Which company should I choose for app development?
Choose a team that shows you the proposed screens and helps you test them with real customers or staff. A clickable prototype lets you find problems before the screens are built. Also ask how the team handles sign-up: people should be able to see value without logging in when the app has no significant account-based features.
Should my app be native or cross-platform?
We usually recommend React Native for apps that can share a codebase across iOS and Android. We go native when the app needs deep device features. The decision starts with what your app must do on the device, because those requirements determine how much platform-specific work the build needs.
What is included behind the app screens?
We can build the backend and an admin panel alongside the app. That gives staff a place to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds or block abusive accounts. The app, your website and your admin tools can share that backend, so they use the same accounts and data.
Who owns the app and its store accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. That gives you control of the accounts used for publication as well as ownership of the work itself.
What happens after the app is launched?
Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Plan maintenance releases: Google Play requires new apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, and out-of-date apps can become unavailable to new users on newer devices.
