Mobile app developers for Perth businesses

Give your customers an app built around the tasks they return to, with screens for iOS and Android, push notifications and a route to both app stores. For your Perth business, we design the flows, build the app and handle its release. We’re MSH Technologies, a web, app and AI studio in India, and we work with you remotely throughout the project.

What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform, native or web app?

A cross-platform app suits products built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments and content. We usually use React Native: it shares a codebase across iOS and Android while rendering each platform’s own interface components. That gives your web developers a familiar language to work with, and some logic can be shared with a React website.

Native development is a stronger fit when the product depends on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. It gives you separate iPhone and Android codebases to build and maintain. We use native development when those device requirements call for it.

A progressive web app is another option, particularly for a staff tool that does not need an app store listing. It skips store review, though it needs packaging to appear in the stores. On an iPhone, it can request notification permission only after someone adds it to the Home Screen.

Local

What Perth businesses need from an app

Retail businesses around Hay Street and Murray Street have a reason to make repeat orders easy. A customer app could provide reordering, loyalty and saved payment details, with a fast checkout and notifications sent at useful moments.

Tourism businesses need to decide what customers will return to the app to do. Where customers already use a web platform frequently, an app can share their accounts and data with the existing service, so they do not have to start again on mobile.

Businesses with field teams around the Kwinana, Welshpool and Kewdale industrial estates may need job forms, photos, signatures and location details available away from the office. An admin panel gives office staff a place to look up customers and manage the information behind those jobs.

Rules

What an app project in Australia has to handle

Accessibility should shape the screens from the start. Australian guidance recommends WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a minimum for digital goods and services. We set that as the accessibility target for the app, with clear control labels and screen layouts designed for people using assistive technology. We also test the screens against that target, so accessibility checks are part of the build rather than an item left until the store listing.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 2h30m behind Perth, so we use the shared board to keep decisions and feedback visible between conversations. You speak directly to the people designing and building your product.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the task you want customers or staff to complete, along with the systems involved.

  2. 02

    Design

We refine iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Put the clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff and show us where they hesitate.

  3. 03

    Build

We develop the agreed product and test it on real devices and browsers. Review the work with us as it takes shape, so questions about the screens and content are resolved during the build.

  4. 04

    Launch

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts while we prepare the app for release.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring whatever you have from this list; it will help us identify the work behind your app.

  • Developer accountsPlan to register Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name, and check the D-U-N-S requirement for organisation accounts.
  • Connected systemsList your website, CRM, booking software and payment provider, including their APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Testing accessCheck whether a new personal Google Play account will need a closed test before production release.
  • Review accessIf the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s review.
  • Privacy policyHave a policy that reflects the data the app collects; Apple requires a link in the app and its store listing.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline

Accounts, data and admin tools sit behind the screens your customers see.

  • Integrations

Each payment gateway, booking system or connected device needs setup, testing and a plan for failed connections.

  • Live features

Tracking and chat need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Existing backend

A documented API can reduce the work. Building a backend and admin panel from scratch adds a substantial part of the project.

  • Customer content

Posts or other user-generated material need reporting, blocking and filtering tools, plus published contact details.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Wrapping a website in an app shell

Apple expects more than a repackaged site. Give people a useful mobile task or feature that earns its place on their phone.

  • Demanding sign-up too soon

Let people see what they can do before asking them to create an account, unless account-based features make a login necessary.

  • Requesting notifications on first launch

Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until the user allows them.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Perth

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. The work changes with the number of user types and the way the app handles offline use. Customer, driver and staff flows each need screens and permissions; offline editing also needs syncing and conflict handling. Once we agree the scope, we can provide a quote.

How do I choose an app development company?

Choose a team you can speak to directly and ask how you will keep control of the product. With us, you talk to the people doing the design and development. Check where the developer accounts, signing access and code repositories will be held before work begins.

What happens if the app needs customer accounts?

We build account features and can use a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools. Plan for account deletion as well: Apple requires an in-app way to start deletion, while Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests.

Who owns the app after it is built?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you control over the materials needed to continue working on the product. Ask about access during the project, so the people responsible for your business have what they need when they need it.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and further features. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. We provide ongoing support, and crash reporting and analytics can show where users leave a task or which devices are having problems.

Can the app take payments and subscriptions?

Yes. We build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. The checkout needs to match what you sell: Google Play billing is required for digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app, while physical goods and services use a different payment route.
