What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you choose native or cross-platform?

We usually build with React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. It gives you coverage on both platforms without maintaining a separate app for each. For products that depend on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work, native development in Swift and Kotlin gives you more direct access to each platform. The trade-off is maintaining separate codebases.

Flutter is another option for a heavily branded interface: it draws its own screens and uses Dart, so your team needs to be comfortable working in that language. A progressive web app suits some staff tools and skips store review, but it needs packaging to appear in app stores; on iPhone, notification permission is available only after it is added to the Home Screen. We help you choose by looking at the device features, interface and store presence your product needs.

Local

What organisations in Patiala need from an app

Patiala is an education centre in Punjab. An education organisation whose students already use a web platform could add an app for frequent use, with the same accounts and data available across both. We can build a shared backend for the app, website and admin tools, giving staff a single place to manage that data.

Patiala also has higher-education institutions including Punjabi University and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. For an institution managing inspection or maintenance work, a field app could give staff job forms with photos, signatures and location details. Records need to reach the office when a connection returns, so the scope should describe what staff must be able to record without signal.

Rules

What an app project in India has to handle

For customer payments in India, UPI supports mobile payments to merchants. If you need it, we set up a payment gateway in the checkout and test how payment failures are handled. What you sell changes the checkout: Google Play billing is required for digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app, while physical goods and services must use a different payment method. We set up the payment flow to match the purchase.

How it runs

How your app project runs with us

We work remotely from India using video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. You can review the work and give feedback without needing an in-person meeting.

  1. 01

    Discover

Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the scope with you before design starts.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare iOS and Android screens and flows. You review them and we refine them with your feedback before writing code.

  3. 03

    Build and review

Test builds reach your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks, so you can try the app and tell us what needs attention.

  4. 04

    Measure

We include analytics and crash reporting in the first release, so you can see screen use, drop-off and devices affected by crashes.

  5. 05

    Submit

We handle store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. If the app has a login, have a working demo account and live backend ready for submission.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring the decisions and access that will help us define the first release.

  • Write down what users must do, in the order they will do it.
  • Register Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
  • Plan a closed test if you have a new personal Google Play developer account.
  • Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data your app collects for the listing and the app itself.
  • Identify analytics or advertising tools so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety form.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline

The scope determines how much design, build and testing work your app needs.

  • User roles

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.

  • Interface

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details.

  • Existing systems

A backend with a documented API reduces build work; a new backend and admin panel add substantial work.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Patiala

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price. The work depends on needs such as offline editing and the rules for sending notifications. Showing previously loaded data offline is a smaller task than syncing edits and handling conflicts. We send you a free quote once the scope is agreed.

How should I choose an app development company?

Choose a team that will discuss what users need to do and give you direct access to the people building the product. We do that. Ask how the app will offer value beyond an existing website, since a site wrapped in an app shell risks rejection.

What is included behind the mobile screens?

An app project usually includes a backend and an admin panel as well as the phone app. The backend holds accounts and data; the admin panel gives your staff tools to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds and block abusive accounts without calling a developer.

Will I own the app and its accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep the developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name as well. Accounts held in an agency’s or freelancer’s name can make the app difficult to move later.

What support will I need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features after release; we provide ongoing support. Some JavaScript and content fixes can be delivered over the air, but native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. Regular maintenance also keeps the app aligned with Google Play’s Android API requirements.
