Choosing

Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?

For an app built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content, a cross-platform build is often a practical choice. We usually use React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. That gives you a shared foundation while allowing work on platform-specific features.

A native build fits an app that needs deep device features. The choice changes how much platform-specific work is involved. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design where you want screens to look identical across platforms.

A progressive web app can suit a staff tool and skips store review. It will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them, and on iPhone it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. We start with your audience and goals, then agree a scope that fits how people will use the product.

Local

What Delhi businesses need from an app

Delhi has hotel and tourism businesses among its service industries. If you manage an appointment-based service for guests, an app can bring booking, reminders and payments into the same flow, while giving staff a view of the day's schedule. The useful starting point is the task a guest needs to complete and the information your staff need to act on it.

Delhi's Chandni Chowk is a shopping area known for jewellery and Zari saris. If you run a shop with a web platform that customers use frequently, an app can give those customers access to their existing accounts and data. Reusing the backend keeps the app connected to the information already held by the web platform.

Rules

What an app project in India has to handle

Your checkout needs to match what you sell. UPI supports person-to-merchant payments in India, so we set up a UPI checkout with your payment provider for physical goods or services. For digital content and subscriptions used in the app, we set up store billing. Apple and Google Play have rules for those purchases; some storefronts or regions also allow outside payment options.

How it runs

How a mobile app project runs with us

We are a studio in India and work with clients remotely. You can discuss the work over video calls and WhatsApp, with a shared project board for the work in progress.

  1. 01

    Design

We design the iOS and Android screens before writing code. You review the flows and give feedback, so changes to the screens can be worked through at the design stage.

  2. 02

    Build and test

We send test builds to your phone through TestFlight on iPhone or Google Play testing tracks. You can try the app in real use and tell us what needs attention.

  3. 03

    Prepare submission

If the app has a login, you provide a working demo account and the backend must be live for Apple's review. Leave room in the launch plan for fixes and resubmission.

  4. 04

    Release

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You keep those accounts in your business's hands while the app goes through the release process.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring a short list of the tasks users must complete in the first release, in the order they will do them.

  • SystemsList your website, CRM, booking or ERP software and payment provider; note their APIs and who has admin access.
  • Developer accountsStart registering Apple and Google accounts in your company's name. Organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • Privacy policyPrepare a policy that matches the data collected, for the Apple listing and a link inside the app.
  • Account deletionPlan an in-app way to start deletion if people can create accounts; deactivation alone is insufficient for Apple.
  • Deletion requestsFor Google Play, also plan a web link where users can request deletion of their account and associated data.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and time needed

The scope determines how much design, backend and testing work the app needs.

  • User types

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they use a shared backend.

  • Existing systems

A documented backend API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel add a substantial build.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Interface

Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • User content

Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details for Apple's requirements.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when developing an app

  • Wrapping a website

An app shell around an existing site risks rejection. Plan useful app features beyond the repackaged website.

  • Putting login first

Let people use the app without signing in when it has no significant account-based features, in line with Apple's guidance.

  • Adding an SDK without reviewing privacy answers

When you add analytics or advertising software, update Google Play's Data safety form to cover the data that software collects.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Delhi

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price: the work depends on the features in your agreed scope. For example, showing previously loaded data without a signal is less work than allowing offline edits and resolving conflicts when they sync. Push notifications also need a sending service, audience rules and settings for users.

Which company should I choose for app development?

Choose a team based on how it will build and release your app, and whose developer accounts it will use. Ask how the proposed technology fits your features. We use a shared React Native codebase for both platforms and handle store submission and review under your own accounts.

What is included in mobile app development?

The work can include the accounts, data and admin tools behind the screens, as well as analytics and crash reporting in the first release. Tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry show which screens people use, where they stop and which devices experience crashes.

Can the app use the same data as my website?

Yes. We can build a backend that serves your app, website and admin tools, keeping customer accounts and data in one place. Bring details of the systems you already use to the scope discussion, so the work can account for the information the app needs to share.

Who owns the app and its accounts?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep the developer accounts, signing access and code repository in your business's name too. Accounts held in an agency's or freelancer's name can make the app harder to move later.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features after release. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so maintenance releases need attention. Review retention, drop-off in the main task and the crash-free rate to see how people use each release.
