App developers for Bradford businesses

You get a mobile app designed around the tasks your customers or staff need to complete. For your Bradford business, we design screens for iOS and Android, build the accounts and data behind them, and set up push notifications where they have a clear purpose. We work with you remotely, keeping you involved in decisions from the initial scope through to launch.

What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform app or go native?

We usually build with React Native. It shares a codebase across iOS and Android, with native modules where a feature needs them. We go native when your app needs deep device features. The choice starts with what users need to do on their phones, so bring those tasks to the discussion before settling on a platform.

React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. Your web developers can contribute, and some logic can be shared with a React website. Flutter uses Dart and draws its own interface; it suits a custom-designed product where you want screens to look identical across platforms and your team is comfortable working in Dart.

A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool. It avoids store review, although it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can only ask to send notifications after someone adds it to their Home Screen. Decide how your users will find and open the tool before choosing that route.

Local

What Bradford organisations need from an app

Manufacturing is part of Bradford’s economy. If your business sends maintenance or inspection staff out to jobs, an app can give them forms for recording work, taking photos and collecting signatures. Location can be recorded against each job, with records synced to the office when signal returns. Map the information your staff need at each stop before deciding which screens to build.

Bradford’s attractions include a theatre, a museum and a gallery. A restaurant serving repeat visitors could use an app for reordering, loyalty and saved payment details, with a quick checkout and notifications timed around a useful action. For an appointment business, booking and reminders need a staff view of the day’s schedule as well as screens for customers.

Rules

What a UK app project needs to handle

If your project includes a customer website, we set up reasonable accessibility adjustments for disabled people as part of that website’s design. UK guidance on the Equality Act applies to organisations providing services through a website, so agree the adjustments needed for the website alongside the app screens.

For sales inside an Android app, the type of purchase changes the checkout we set up. Google Play billing is required for digital goods and subscriptions; it must not be used for physical goods or services such as groceries, transport or event tickets. Some regions allow alternative billing.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We are MSH Technologies, a studio in India, and work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 5h30m ahead of the UK, or 4h30m during British Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. Shared boards keep decisions visible across the time difference.

  1. 01

    Design

We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. You review the flows against the tasks your users need to complete.

  2. 02

    Test the prototype

Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives you a chance to change a screen before it is built.

  3. 03

    Prepare for review

If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and a live backend for submission. Leave room in the launch plan to fix issues and resubmit if needed.

  4. 04

    Submit

We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain access to those accounts.

  5. 05

    Check the release

Include analytics and crash reporting from the first release. Tools such as Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics show screen use, drop-off points and devices that crash.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring enough detail to discuss the first release and the systems it needs to reach.

  • User tasksList what people must do in the first release, in the order they would do it.
  • Existing systemsNote your website, booking software or payment provider, whether each has an API, and who holds admin access.
  • Developer accountsStart registering Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
  • Play testingCheck the closed-test requirements if you plan to use a new personal Google Play developer account.
  • AccessKeep developer accounts, signing access and the code repository in your business’s name so the app remains easier to move.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and time of development

The scope determines how much design, development and testing the app needs.

  • User types

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.

  • Live features

Tracking or chat needs persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Integrations

A payment gateway, booking system or scanner adds setup, testing and failure handling.

  • Interface

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • Existing backend

A documented API can reduce the work; a new backend and admin panel can be as large a task as the app.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Bradford

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price: the scope determines the work. Offline editing and later synchronisation need more work than displaying previously loaded data, while a native build for both platforms means maintaining separate codebases. We start by learning your goals and agreeing the scope together; that gives us a basis for discussing a quote.

Which app development company should I hire?

Choose a team that can explain what your app will let people do and how it will meet store requirements. Ask how they will give users value before asking them to sign up. Apple also expects more than a website repackaged as an app, so discuss the reason someone would install it.

What happens if my app lets customers create accounts?

The app needs an account-deletion path. Apple requires people to be able to start deleting their account inside the app; simply disabling it is not enough. Google Play also requires an in-app path to delete the account and associated data, plus a web link where people can request deletion.

Will I own the app and its code?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives your business control over those assets if you decide to change how the product is maintained. Discuss access with us when agreeing the scope so the people responsible for the app know where its assets are held.

What support does an app need after launch?

Plan for maintenance releases and keep watching how the app performs. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. JavaScript and content fixes can use over-the-air tools, while native code changes need a store release. Track returning users, task drop-off and crash-free rate as well.
