Choosing
Should you hire a dedicated team or choose another option?
Choose a fixed-scope project when you have a well-defined build and a clear end point. A dedicated team suits an ongoing backlog, where the next improvement may change as you learn from the product. Hiring in-house gives you control over who joins and keeps knowledge inside your company; a dedicated team avoids recruitment and gives you more flexibility to change capacity.
Your existing engineering setup also affects the choice. If you have a lead developer with time to direct the work, we can fit into your repositories, tools and review process. If you need us to plan the work, we can organise sprints around the priorities you set. Both approaches need decisions from your side, especially when a feature or fix competes with other work.
Continuity is worth considering too. A team that stays with your product learns its code, users and business rules, so that knowledge does not have to be rebuilt with each new contractor. To help you choose a starting scope, we learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the work with you.
Rules
What your dedicated team project in the Netherlands needs to handle
A startup with a newly launched product may need a steady flow of features and fixes, while an agency may need development capacity that follows its client work. Established businesses may need ongoing improvements to a website, app or internal tool.
For tracking cookies, we set up a consent banner that obtains explicit consent before the cookies are set. Pre-ticked boxes and cookie walls do not provide valid consent. Functional and qualifying analytical cookies generally do not need consent, provided visitors are informed.
If work involves transferring personal data to India, the build and access plan need appropriate safeguards: India has no European Commission adequacy decision. Standard contractual clauses are one available safeguard; we assess the need for measures such as encryption or pseudonymisation for the data involved and set up the measures chosen for the work.
How it runs
How a dedicated development team project runs with us
We use Slack, WhatsApp or email and hold regular calls, with direct access to the people doing the work. IST is 4h30m ahead, or 3h30m during Central European Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. We agree an overlap window for calls and quick questions; written tickets, end-of-day updates and handover notes keep work moving outside it.
- 01
Prioritise
You rank the shared backlog, and we estimate the items and deliver against those priorities. We review progress together at agreed points, so you can see what is ready to move forward.
- 02
Review and test
Each item goes through code review and testing before release. You then accept the work or send it back with notes for changes.
- 03
See the work
We give you progress updates and regular demos, with direct access to the team. Use these to see the work and raise questions with the people building it.
- 04
Review capacity
At agreed intervals, we look together at what shipped, what slipped and whether the capacity planned for the next period still fits your priorities.
- 05
Keep handover ready
We keep documentation, deployment steps and access lists up to date, so the work is prepared to move in-house or to another team.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A rough set of notes is enough to begin the discussion; these details help us understand the work and how it will be approved.
- BacklogList the features, bugs and improvements you know about, rank them and include the reason for each.
- AccountsPrepare individual access to repositories, hosting, staging and third-party services under your organisation.
- System historyGather architecture notes and existing documentation, plus the names of people who know the product’s history.
- Definition of doneNote review and test expectations, supported browsers and devices, and who approves releases.
- CredentialsUse individual accounts and a password manager instead of shared logins or passwords pasted into chat.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timing of a dedicated development team
The work in your backlog and the state of your product shape the capacity and effort needed.
Role mix
The amount of design, front-end, back-end, mobile and testing work affects the capacity your backlog needs.
Experience
Complex architecture, legacy systems and sensitive data call for more experienced people than simpler work.
Workload
A full-time or part-time commitment and the stability of the workload affect how capacity is planned.
Existing code
Missing tests, outdated dependencies and thin documentation slow changes, as the team has more groundwork to address.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with a dedicated development team
Leaving priorities without an owner
Name a decision maker who can rank the work and answer questions. Without one, the team has to wait or guess when a decision is needed.
Changing direction every day
Agree a planning rhythm and reserve interruptions for real emergencies. Constant switching uses capacity that could otherwise go into the work you have already prioritised.
Counting hours without reviewing outcomes
Look at what shipped and whether it worked at each planning point. That gives you a useful basis for deciding what the team should tackle next.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Netherlands
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to hire dedicated developers?
There is no fixed price. The cost depends on the capacity your backlog needs, the mix of work and whether that capacity needs to change. We provide ongoing design and development capacity on a plan and work through your backlog; you can scale capacity up or down as your needs change.
How can I hire a dedicated remote development team?
Start by discussing your business, audience and goals with us, then agree the scope of the work. If you already have a lead developer, tell us how that person directs and reviews work. We can add capacity inside your existing repositories and review process, so your lead has a clear place in the working arrangement.
Should I choose full-time or part-time capacity?
Full-time capacity suits a full, ongoing backlog on one product. Part-time or hour-based work suits maintenance and smaller, irregular tasks. Look at the work you have ready to prioritise before choosing: a plan should fit the backlog you can direct. You can scale the plan up, down or pause it as your needs change.
What work is included in a dedicated team plan?
We handle features, fixes and improvements across your website and apps, alongside design support for new pages, interface updates and design system work. Reviews, tests and documentation are also part of the service. Bring the items you want addressed and we can discuss the mix of development and design work your plan needs.
Who owns the code when we work with you?
You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. We also provide an NDA and hand code ownership to you. That gives you control over the product assets if your needs change and you decide to continue the work with a different team or bring it inside your company.
What happens after the product launches?
The team can continue with the work that keeps the product easy to change, including dependency updates, security patches, performance fixes and refactoring. Review outcomes as well as completed features: bugs fixed, release frequency, incidents and work waiting for review or approval all help you assess how the work is progressing.
