API integration services in Australia
Connect the systems your business uses with API integration services in Australia, from a custom REST API to scheduled data sync and alerts for failed transfers. You get a defined route for data to move between your apps, partners and internal tools, with error handling built into the sync. You work directly with the people designing and building your integration.

Choosing
Should you use a connector, an integration platform or custom code?
Start by checking for a ready-made connector. Products often have official integrations for common tasks, which can cover your needs without a custom build. Where the flow is simple and the volume is low, a platform such as Zapier or Make gives your staff a way to adjust it themselves. Custom code fits higher volumes, more complex logic and stricter error handling, with more work involved in building the flow.
Timing is a separate choice. A webhook pushes changes as they happen, but it needs an endpoint that can receive them and logic to handle duplicate events. A scheduled batch is simpler and suits reports or overnight updates. You do not have to make every flow real-time: choose the timing that fits how your team uses the data.
A missing API does not always end the discussion. We can often work with exports or email when a system has no API, although that changes how information reaches the next system. We learn your business and goals, then agree the scope with you so the chosen approach fits the work you need it to do.
Market
What Australian buyers expect connected systems to handle
Your sales team may need website enquiries to reach the CRM, with the details then moving into quotes and invoices in accounting. A service business has a different flow: bookings, payments and WhatsApp or SMS reminders need to connect so appointments can be confirmed without staff sending each message by hand. Both start with the information your team already uses to complete the work.
Finance teams also need payment gateway and bank data matched to invoices. Australia’s New Payments Platform supports real-time payments, including PayID payments addressed to a mobile number, email address or ABN. If those payments are part of your workflow, we discuss how the payment and bank information will be matched in your accounting software.
Rules
What your Australian integration needs to handle
Australia uses the Peppol framework for e-invoicing. If you use it, we connect your accounting systems and agree what invoice information needs to pass through your e-invoicing workflow. That gives the invoice flow a defined place in the integration, alongside the other accounting connections you need.
Surcharging on debit, prepaid and credit card payments on the eftpos, Mastercard and Visa networks was removed from 1 October 2026. When we integrate your payment gateway, we set up the checkout without those surcharges. We also discuss which gateway you use, including Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal or a local gateway.
How it runs
How an API integration project runs with us
We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 5h30m behind Sydney during daylight saving time; the shared board keeps decisions and open questions visible between calls.

Check access
We review each system’s API documentation, plan limits, test environment and access. You help us reach the people who can answer questions about the systems, so we can establish what the available access permits.
- 02
Agree the mapping
We document the fields, rules and edge cases. The people who own each system review and sign off the mapping, giving everyone a shared reference for how records should move.
- 03
Design and build
Where screens are part of the project, we refine desktop and mobile designs with your feedback before code. We then build and test on real devices and browsers, with your team involved in the feedback.
- 04
Move to live sync
Go-live often begins with a backfill of historical records before the connection switches to live sync. We watch the monitoring closely at first, and you can see how the agreed flow is working with live records.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring these details to the first discussion. They give us a useful picture of the systems, people and records involved.
- A list of the systems and their plans or editions, including whether API access is included.
- Sample records, including the awkward cases your team currently handles by hand.
- The owner of each system and the vendor support contacts who can answer access and permission questions.
- The person who should receive a failed-sync alert, and how quickly they need to act.
- Your current arrangements for API keys or OAuth tokensstorage, renewal and ownership beyond a single employee.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of API integrations
The number of systems and the direction of each flow shape the work. A two-way sync takes more work than a one-way sync.
Volume and timing
High-volume, real-time sync needs queues and careful handling of rate limits, adding work to the connection.
Data transformation
Tax, unit or currency conversion adds rules; matching records without a common ID adds another task.
Historical records
A large backfill needs checks that totals match on both sides before you rely on the transferred data.
Card handling
A gateway’s hosted payment page or embedded fields keep card data off your servers and reduce PCI DSS obligations; passing card data through your servers adds compliance work.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with API integrations
Leaving ownership unclear
In a two-way sync, an older record can overwrite a good one. Decide which system owns each piece of data before records start moving.
Testing only ideal records
Include blanks, odd characters, duplicates and cancelled orders in tests, so you can find mappings that fail on real data.
Assuming events arrive once and in order
Record processed event IDs and avoid depending on delivery order when handling webhooks.
Leaving failures unnoticed
Add an alert for failed syncs so missing orders or invoices do not sit unnoticed while your team continues working.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much will an API integration cost?
There is no fixed price. The direction of the sync, its timing and the field mapping all affect the work. Two-way flows need conflict rules, while differences in IDs, formats or tax codes need mapping decisions. We agree the scope with you before setting out the work.
How do we choose when data should move?
Choose the trigger around when your team needs the data. A webhook pushes a change as it happens, a scheduled job handles a batch, and some data is fetched only when a screen needs it. We build REST and webhook APIs for apps, partners and internal tools.
What can you include in the integration?
We build custom APIs and connect WhatsApp Business API, SMS and email notifications. For WhatsApp, the message type affects the setup: free-form messages are limited to the 24-hour window after a customer’s last message or call; outside that window, businesses must use templates.
Who owns the code and can our partners use the API?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We also provide clear API documentation and test credentials for partners. That gives your partner a way to understand and test the API as they build their connection to your product or internal tools.
What support is needed after launch?
The integration needs monitoring and periodic checks after launch. We add logs, retries and alerts for failed syncs. A dashboard of sync counts and failures, with a named person to act on alerts, supports ongoing care. Vendor change notices also need checking as APIs and required fields change.
Can you connect the systems we already use?
We integrate systems with APIs, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, QuickBooks, Shopify and WhatsApp. First, decide which system is the source of truth for each piece of information, such as customer details, prices, stock or payment status. That decision gives each connection a clear place to read the data from.
