Choosing

Should you choose a care plan or pay as you go?

A monthly care plan suits you if you want updates, monitoring and an agreed amount of content work handled as a routine. It gives you a defined way to request changes without leaving maintenance until a problem appears. Pay-as-you-go support suits a stable site with infrequent changes, although you should expect a slower response when something breaks. Start by looking at how often your team needs to change the site and how much interruption you can tolerate.

Hosting is a separate decision. Managed hosting suits you when you want one party responsible for speed and uptime; self-managed hosting suits a business with its own IT team and server policies. Also ask how updates are applied. Automatic updates close known security holes sooner, but a change can break the site unnoticed. Manual updates on a staging copy take more effort and give you a chance to catch conflicts before visitors see them.

Local

What Dubai businesses need from website care

Dubai’s trade, tourism, financial services and real estate businesses have different reasons to keep pages current. If you run paid campaigns, your landing pages, forms and tracking need to keep working; a failed form can waste ad spend without anyone noticing. A marketing team also needs a practical route for publishing campaign pages and job posts without starting a development project each time.

Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City include technology and media organisations. If your organisation uses WordPress with many plugins, regular, tested updates help keep those plugins secure and compatible. If you have no in-house developer, assigning responsibility for updates, backups and fixes helps prevent the site being left alone until something breaks.

Rules

What your UAE website needs to handle

Your website forms may collect personal data. The UAE Personal Data Protection Law requires consent for processing except in listed cases and sets requirements for cross-border transfers. For the maintenance work, we review where form data is sent and set up consent on forms when it is needed. Tell us about the services that receive submissions, so the form setup and any transfer of data can be considered together.

How it runs

How website maintenance runs with us

We work remotely through video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 1h30m ahead; the shared board gives you a place to follow the work and leave feedback across that difference.

  1. 01

    Review

We start with a site we did not build by reviewing it, fixing anything urgent and then moving into ongoing maintenance.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

We list software versions, plugins, hosting, backups, domain expiry, user accounts and known problems, then rank the fixes by risk.

  3. 03

    Hand over access

You provide admin, hosting, domain and DNS access, and name the people authorised to request work.

  4. 04

    Update and check

We back up the site, update a staging copy, check key pages and forms, then apply the same updates to the live site.

  5. 05

    Report

We send a monthly report so you can see what changed and review the site’s condition.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

A short list of what needs changing will help us understand your requests.

  • List the site’s connections, including forms, CRM, payment gateway, booking tool, analytics and ad tracking.
  • Note known problems or past hacks, outages, broken forms and slow pages, with rough dates if remembered.
  • Find renewal dates for the domain, SSL certificate, hosting and licences, or the accounts where they can be checked.
  • Name who approves changes and who should be alerted first if the site goes down.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and effort of maintenance

We learn about your business and goals, then agree the scope with you.

  • Plugins and integrations

More plugins, connections and custom features mean more checks after updates.

  • Content requests

The amount of change work and how quickly each item needs to go live affect the work involved.

  • Response expectations

Urgent or out-of-hours cover adds to a plan built around normal working hours.

  • Site condition

An outdated, hacked or undocumented site needs clean-up before routine care can start.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with website maintenance

  • Leaving nobody responsible

Assign someone to follow renewals, broken forms and outdated plugins before a customer has to report a problem.

  • Keeping backups only on the site server

Keep a separate copy so a server failure or hack does not take the backups with it.

  • Skipping restore tests

Test that a backup can be restored before you need it in an emergency.

  • Leaving accounts with a former employee or agency

Move the domain and hosting out of personal accounts so your business can manage renewals and changes.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Dubai

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to maintain a website?

There is no fixed price. The type of site and its hosting needs affect the work: a plugin-based CMS needs more security updates than a static or custom-coded site, while busy sites and online stores need stronger hosting, caching and closer monitoring. A custom-coded site still needs dependency updates, renewals and monitoring.

What does managed hosting include?

Our managed hosting includes SSL and a content delivery network. It is an option when you want hosting handled as part of your website care. Ask us to include the hosting arrangement in the agreed scope, so you know what is being managed alongside the rest of the site.

What work can be included in website maintenance?

Maintenance can include content edits, security work and tracking renewals. Content changes cover text, images, blog posts and job listings. Security work includes a web application firewall, malware scanning, limited admin accounts, two-factor login and a written compromise plan. Domain, SSL, hosting, plugin licence and email renewals also need an owner.

What should I look for in the monthly report?

Look for changes in uptime, speed and traffic, as well as the summary of work completed. Read the figures as a trend: rising load times, growing error counts or falling form submissions can point to a problem before a customer reports it. Use the report to decide what needs attention.

Who owns the hosting account?

You own the hosting account, and we manage it on your behalf. Keep a written record of the relevant accounts, renewal dates and changes made to the site. That record gives your business access to the history it needs if you decide to switch providers.

How do you check that contact forms are working?

We use monitoring that alerts us when your site or forms stop working. Forms also need test submissions: a mail setting, plugin or spam filter change can stop delivery, so check that a submission reaches the intended inbox. An alert and a delivery test address different points in the process.
