Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, a custom site or a hosted builder?
WordPress is a good fit when your team publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its plugins offer a wide choice of features, though someone will need to keep them updated for security. A custom Next.js site is faster and more secure, and it can still include an editor for your team. That gives you a way to update content without making every change to the code.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run on your own. The trade-off is less control over the code and speed; moving away later can mean rebuilding. How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. Features such as booking or a CRM connection, the readiness of your copy and photos, and the amount of content moving from an old site all affect the work. We send you a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Can you design the site around our existing brand?
Yes. We can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for use on the web where needed. Reviewing each page on a phone as well as a desktop screen gives you a clearer view of how those choices work for visitors.
Will we own the website when it is finished?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Your business should also hold the domain and hosting accounts in its own name and grant access to the people working on the site, so you retain control of those accounts.
