Choosing
How should you set up markets and checkout?
Start with where and how you sell. A single Shopify store can serve several countries through markets, with local-currency prices, translations and international domains. Separate stores are worth considering when each country needs a different catalogue or team, or when you need payouts in different currencies. That choice affects how much your staff manages across the stores.
Checkout has its own limits. Shopify runs it, and standard checkout customisation is available from the Basic plan up. Apps that change the information, shipping and payment steps are limited to Shopify Plus. If your buying process needs a change at one of those steps, discuss it before choosing the plan and designing the surrounding pages.
Payment choice also changes the work and ongoing cost. A third-party gateway carries an extra Shopify transaction fee, even if Shopify Payments is active. Where Shopify Payments is unavailable to your business, compare the total cost per order across gateways. We learn about your customers and goals, then agree the store scope with you.
Local
What Denver businesses need from a store
Denver is a storage and distribution centre for goods and services across several regions. If your distribution business is moving from WooCommerce, Magento or another platform, we move products, customers and orders and put redirects in place. If you sell across countries, a store with local-currency prices, translated content and market-specific shipping gives your staff a way to manage those markets from one admin.
Energy and mining businesses are also part of Denver's economy. If you sell products with technical specifications, we can give dimensions, care instructions or size charts their own product-page sections using metafields. Shopify supports up to three product options; a further choice, such as a custom length, needs line item properties in the theme or an app.
Rules
What a United States store has to handle
State sales tax varies: some states have no statewide sales tax. For your selling market, we configure the store's tax settings alongside shipping and payments, using the business details and policies you provide. Bring those details to the scope discussion so the settings reflect where you intend to sell.
Commercial email needs a valid physical postal address and a clear opt-out, with opt-out requests honoured within 10 business days. For store-data-connected email flows, we set up the email content with the address and opt-out, and agree how requests will be handled.
How it runs
How a Shopify project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 10h30m ahead of Eastern time to 13h30m ahead of Pacific time in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives us a place to leave decisions and feedback for the next working session.
- 01
Access
The store stays in your account. You approve our collaborator account, choose its permissions and can remove them when you need to.
- 02
Design
We prepare desktop and mobile page designs for your review. You give feedback, and we refine the designs before writing theme code.
- 03
Build and preview
We work on an unpublished theme copy. You preview and approve it before publication, while your existing live store keeps trading.
- 04
Launch
We connect the domain, remove the store password, switch payments to live and import redirects. We also place a real test order and refund it.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather what you have so we can discuss the work.
- A Shopify account and plan in your business's name and billing.
- A product sheet with titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, barcodes, weights, options and stock by location.
- Consistent photos for each colour or style, plus size charts, care instructions and specifications.
- Business and bank details for your payment gateway, plus reviewed shipping, returns, privacy and terms policies.
- For a migration, exports of products, customers and orders, and the URLs bringing the most traffic and sales.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of development
The scope determines the work involved in your store.
Theme route
Adjusting an existing theme is a smaller job than designing and building a custom theme for your brand.
Catalogue structure
Extra product choices, specifications, bundles and made-to-order items add setup and theme work.
Migration depth
Moving products alone is lighter than also moving customers, order history, reviews, gift cards and redirects.
Integrations and markets
System connections, especially two-way stock and price sync, add work, as do markets with their own prices, translations and shipping rates.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with Shopify development
Loose catalogue data
Keep tags, product types and vendors consistent. Automated collections and filters read these fields, so inconsistent entries can hide products or put them in the wrong place.
Unfinished launch content
Replace theme demos, placeholder policies and default notification wording before buyers see the store.
Too many small-purpose apps
Review subscriptions and scripts before installing. When removing an app, check the theme files for code it left behind.
Direct live-theme edits
Duplicate the theme, make changes on the copy and preview them before publishing, so mistakes do not appear immediately to visitors.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Denver
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to hire a Shopify developer?
There is no fixed price. The choice between an existing and custom theme, and between an app and custom development, changes the work involved. Apps bring recurring fees, while custom work needs maintenance as Shopify changes. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Can I hire you to build my first Shopify store?
Yes. We can build a store your staff can run without managing hosting, security or software updates. A custom theme can be designed around your brand and built for speed on mobile. Tell us about your products and who will manage the store when we discuss the scope.
What does the handover include?
We train your team to run orders, products and discounts independently. The handover gives the people who will manage the store a chance to learn those day-to-day tasks, so they know how to work with the catalogue and orders after the build.
Who owns the store and its content?
You own your domain, content and code, so you are not locked to the team that built the store. After launch, review staff accounts, installed apps and collaborator access from time to time and remove anything you no longer use. Shopify also expires unused collaborator access.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Ongoing support follows launch from the same people who designed and built your store. You can also use Shopify's reports to track conversion rate, cart abandonment, average order value and returning customers, while Search Console shows organic clicks and product-page indexing.
Can you move my existing shop to Shopify?
Yes. We move products, customers and orders from WooCommerce, Magento or another platform, with redirects in place. We also build for search from launch, including clean product URLs, structured data and fast pages. Discuss the material you need moved when agreeing the scope.
