Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform or native development?
Cross-platform development shares most of the code between iOS and Android. It suits an app built around accounts, forms, lists, maps, bookings, payments or content. You have one shared codebase to work on, while still designing the screens for the way people use each platform.
We usually use React Native. It is written in JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components, so web developers can contribute and some logic can be shared with a React web app. We use native modules when a feature needs them, and go fully native when the app needs deep device features.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design where you want screens to look identical across platforms. That choice also means working in Dart. Start with the tasks and device features your app needs, then weigh the shared-code approach against the flexibility those features require.
Local
What Surat businesses need from an app
The Surat Economic Region processes natural and lab-grown diamonds. For a diamond business with inspection staff working in the field, an app could collect forms, photos, signatures and job locations offline, then sync them to the office when the signal returns. Your staff need a reliable way to complete each job record without waiting for a connection.
Surat also has dyeing and printing mills and power loom units. If your textile business sells to repeat customers, an app could offer reordering and a fast checkout, with notifications timed for those customers. Your staff also need an admin panel where they can edit content, look up customer accounts and handle issues without calling a developer.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
For merchant payments, we set up UPI through an authorised payment provider. UPI supports person-to-merchant payments, and non-bank entities that aggregate customer payments for merchants must be authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. We also configure checkout around what you sell: digital content and subscriptions used in the app follow the stores’ billing rules, while physical goods and services used outside the app need another payment method.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
During the remote project, you talk directly to the people designing and building your app. Share feedback from the people who will use it, as well as from the staff who will manage it.
- 01
Design
We refine iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Review the flows for the tasks you want people to complete.
- 02
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives us a chance to change screens before they are built.
- 03
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app in practice and tell us where a task feels difficult.
- 04
Measure
We include analytics and crash reporting in the first release. These show which screens people use, where they give up and which devices crash.
- 05
Release
We handle store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. Keep access to those accounts available for the release work.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather the details that affect the build and store submission.
- Start registering Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
- List your website, CRM, booking software, payment provider and other connections; note API availability and who holds admin access.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects, for the app and its Apple store listing.
- List any analytics or advertising SDKs so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety answers.
- If the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s submission review.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The scope of screens, connections and ongoing operations shapes the work.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.
Live features
Tracking or chat needs persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
Payment gateways, maps, booking systems and connected hardware each need setup, testing and failure handling.
Interface
Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User content
Posts from users need moderation, including filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details.
Questions

How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The work changes with what you need to build, including payments or subscriptions and a backend shared by your app, website and admin tools. Once we agree the scope, ask us for a quote and check whether it is free.
How should you choose an app development company?
Choose a team that can explain what the app will do for users and how it will meet store requirements. Ask for a plan for the first useful task. Apple expects more than a repackaged website and asks apps without significant account-based features to let people use them without logging in.
Can the app share data with your website?
Yes. We can build one backend for your app, website and admin tools, so customer accounts and data live in one place. That gives your staff a common source of information to work with when they manage the service, instead of treating the app as an isolated product.
Who owns the app and its accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep your developer accounts, signing access and code repository in your business’s name too. Accounts and repositories held in an agency’s or freelancer’s name can make the app difficult to move later.
What support will you need after launch?
Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features after release. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Watch retention and the crash-free rate as you make changes, so you can see where people drop out and whether a release helped or hurt.
