Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform or native development?
We usually build with React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. It uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. If you already have a React web app, some logic can be shared, and web developers can contribute to the app work.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a highly customised brand design where you want screens to look identical across platforms. Your team would need to be willing to work in Dart. The choice affects who can maintain the app and how closely its screens follow each platform’s interface.
Native development uses Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android. It fits an app that depends on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. The trade-off is maintaining separate codebases. Start with the tasks and device features your app needs; those give you a clearer basis for choosing how to build it.
Local
What Gujarat businesses need from an app
Gujarat has textile and jewellery businesses, including shops that need to serve repeat customers. An app can give those customers a route to reorder, use loyalty features and pay with saved details. The checkout needs to be quick, while notifications need to arrive at a useful point in the customer’s order.
Ahmedabad and Vadodara have pharmaceutical companies whose field teams could use an app for inspections or maintenance. Forms, photos, signatures and job locations give staff a way to record work away from the office. Agree how much must work without a signal: displaying previously loaded data takes less work than editing records offline and resolving conflicts when they sync.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
Payment design starts with what you sell. UPI supports person-to-merchant payments, so we can set up a UPI checkout for physical goods or services. Digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app have different store requirements: Apple requires in-app purchase, while Google Play generally requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions. We set up the applicable purchase and subscription flows for each store; some storefronts or regions allow outside payment options.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and give feedback without travelling to meet us.
- 01
Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We use that discussion to agree the scope with you, including what the app needs to do for its users.
- 02
Design
We design the iOS and Android screens before writing code. You review them and give feedback, so the flows can be refined while they are still designs.
- 03
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff and watch them use it. Screen changes cost less at this stage than after the build.
- 04
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app yourself and share what you notice during real use.
- 05
Release
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You keep those accounts in your business’s control as the app moves towards release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Write a short list of the actions users need in the first release, in the order they will take them.
- List your website, CRM, booking, ERP and payment systems; note their APIs and who has admin access.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects, for the app and its Apple store listing.
- Check the closed-testing requirement if you plan to use a new personal Google Play developer account.
- If users can create accounts, plan an in-app route to start account deletion on Apple devices.
- For Google Play, also plan a web link where users can request account and associated data deletion.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of app development
The work grows with the flows and systems your app needs.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
Payment gateways, maps, business systems and hardware each add setup, testing and failure handling.
User-generated content
Moderation needs include filtering, reporting and blocking tools, plus published contact details for Apple’s requirements.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with app development
Wrapping a website in an app shell
Give people useful app features. Apple expects more than a repackaged site, and a shell risks rejection.
Asking for notification permission immediately
Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until the user allows them.
Adding a tracking SDK without updating privacy answers
Record the data collected by third-party SDKs and include it in Google Play’s Data safety form.
Questions

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends heavily on whether you already have a backend with a documented API, and on the accounts, data and admin functions that need to be built. A new backend and admin panel can be substantial pieces of work. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Which company should I choose to build my app?
Choose a company that lets you speak directly to the people designing and building your app, and that will use your own developer accounts for store submission. Ask how you will review the work and who will handle the listings. We offer direct access to the builders and handle submission under your accounts.
What is included in an app build?
The build can include a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools, along with push notifications. That gives your team a way to work with the same customer accounts and data across those products. Agree which notifications and admin tasks belong in the release before the build starts.
Will I own the app and its code?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name as well. When an agency or freelancer holds those assets in its own name, moving the app later becomes harder even if you have paid for the work.
What support is available after launch?
Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Some JavaScript or content fixes can be sent over the air with tools such as Expo EAS Update. Changes to native code, new permissions or Expo SDK upgrades still need a store release.
How will I know how people use the app?
Put analytics and crash reporting in the first release, then review what happens after people install. Tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry show screen use, drop-off and device crashes. Look at how many users return to the app and its crash-free rate, rather than counting downloads alone.
