Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits a team that publishes frequently and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its range of plugins gives you options as your needs change, though someone must keep the installation updated for security. Think about who will take responsibility for those updates alongside the content.
A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. It gives you more freedom over the design, with a developer handling structural changes. Be clear about the changes your team expects to make itself and those it is happy to hand over.
A headless setup combines a custom front end with a separate editor. It suits a site that needs speed and substantial editing, but adds components to host and maintain. We recommend WordPress or a custom Next.js build after learning how your team works, so the choice reflects how you will use the site after launch.
Local
What Sharjah organisations need from their websites
SAIF Zone has more than 6000 companies. If you run a professional services firm there, give each service and partner a clear page: prospective clients need to check expertise and credentials before they get in touch.
Sharjah Industrial area is a commercial centre. For a construction or engineering firm serving that market, a project portfolio needs photographs and details of completed work, giving prospective clients something concrete to assess.
Some universities are in University City. A university site needs enquiry routes that make sense to its visitors: we agree where messages go, who receives them and what the confirmation says, with phone and WhatsApp options considered for mobile pages.
Rules
What a UAE website project has to handle
The UAE Personal Data Protection Law sets consent and cross-border transfer requirements for personal data. Where consent is required, we set up consent wording alongside the relevant form and plan how its submissions will be handled, including transfers across borders.
Arabic is the UAE’s official language, while English is also widely used. If your audience needs both, we set up Arabic and English page versions and plan the content for each language before the design is finalised.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 1h30m ahead; the shared board keeps feedback and decisions visible between calls.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. We use those answers to shape the sitemap.
- 02
Wireframe
We set out the content and order of each page before visual design. Review the priorities at this stage; colours come later.
- 03
Build
We develop the site in code or with an editable CMS, then test it on real devices and browsers. Your team can review the working pages.
- 04
Check
You proofread each page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. Catching small errors here gives us a clear list to address before launch.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Start with a goal for the site and the person who will handle each type of enquiry.
- List your services or products in business priority order.
- Gather vector logo files, brand colours and fonts, or note what still needs creating.
- Collect photographs of your team, premises and finished work.
- Find the login details for your domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console, or identify who holds them.
- Share a few sites you like and dislike, with a reason for each choice.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of a website
The sitemap, wireframes and page designs all need to be agreed as part of the work.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build effort than pages that share a template.
Features
Booking, member logins, multiple languages or a CRM connection add design, build and testing work.
Content
Copy and photographs ready to publish reduce the work; adding writing, photography or translation expands it.
Brand
An existing logo and style guide reduce design effort compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building your website
Avoid designing around placeholder text. Use real headings and paragraphs early, so their length is accounted for in the layout.
Keep the domain and hosting accounts in your business’s name. Grant access to the people doing the work.
Review every page on a phone before approving it. A desktop view alone can hide problems for mobile visitors.
Do not copy every page from an old site or a competitor. Choose clear service pages your team can keep current.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Sharjah
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is investing in a website still worthwhile?
A website is worth assessing against the enquiries it helps you handle. Track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics, and check which pages visitors started from. Also assign someone to update news, projects and job posts, so the site continues to reflect your business.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The scope is shaped by the design approach, the content you need to gather and the work needed to prepare it. An adapted template suits a simple, tight brief; a custom design suits more specific needs. Once we agree the scope, we send you a free quote.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. We can also agree an accessibility target in the brief. WCAG sets out levels for accessibility criteria, giving you a way to state the target before design decisions are made.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes a content editor, search setup and launch handover. Your team can edit pages, news, projects and careers; we also set up metadata, structured data and sitemaps. At handover, we set up analytics and Search Console and give your team a walkthrough.
Will we own the finished website?
Yes. You own the domain, the content and the code. That gives you control of the website assets after the project. When planning the build, tell us which parts of the site your team expects to edit, so the content editor supports that work.
How do we review the design before it is built?
You review the sitemap, wireframes and page designs with us, and we refine the designs using your feedback. Desktop and mobile are both part of that review. Bring the people who will use and manage the site into the discussion, so their feedback is included in the design work.
