Mobile app developers in Riyadh
You get an app designed for iOS and Android, with the accounts, data and admin tools needed to run it. For your Riyadh business, that could mean giving customers a clear flow on their phones and giving your staff a way to manage the information behind it. At MSH Technologies, we are a studio in India and work with you remotely throughout the project.

Choosing
Should you choose a native or cross-platform app?
A cross-platform app is a practical choice when your product centres on accounts, forms, lists, maps, bookings, payments or content. React Native shares most of its code across iOS and Android while rendering each platform’s own interface components. Web developers can contribute, and some logic can also be shared with a React website. That gives you a common codebase to maintain while keeping platform-specific interfaces.
Native development in Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android fits apps that rely on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. The trade-off is maintaining separate codebases. We generally choose React Native for apps that fit it, and go native when the product needs deeper access to device features.
A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool. It skips store review, although it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On an iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after the user adds it to the Home Screen. Consider those limits before making store discovery or notifications part of your plan.
Local
What Riyadh organisations need from an app
Riyadh has factories producing goods including machinery, food and construction materials. An inspection team working for a manufacturer needs forms, photos, signatures and job locations available in the field, with records synced to the office when signal returns. The screens and sync behaviour need to fit the work staff do on each job.
As an administrative capital, Riyadh is also home to organisations whose staff need to manage information behind a mobile service. The phone app is only part of that work: a backend stores accounts and data, while an admin panel lets staff edit content, look up customers or block abusive accounts without calling a developer.
Riyadh hosts international business forums that attract investment and tourism. Shops and restaurants serving repeat customers can use an app for reordering, loyalty and saved payment details. A fast checkout and well-timed notifications give those customers a practical reason to return to the app.
Rules
What your app in Saudi Arabia needs to handle
If your checkout needs to accept mada cards, include that requirement when we agree the payment flow. Mada cards can be used for online payments through 3D Secure, so we set up the payment-gateway integration and plan its testing and failure handling as part of the build. Your checkout needs a clear response when a payment does not complete, as well as a path for a successful payment.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 2h30m ahead, so we keep decisions and feedback on the shared board for both sides to pick up across the time difference.
- 01
Discover and design
We learn about your business, audience and goals, agree the scope with you, then refine screen designs with your feedback before coding. We build and test the product, handle launch setup and provide ongoing support.
- 02
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives us a chance to change screens before they are built, when changes cost less.
- 03
Test on your phone
We send test builds through TestFlight for iPhone and Google Play’s internal or closed testing tracks for Android, so you can respond to the app in use.
- 04
Prepare for review
If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for submission. Allow room in your launch plan for fixes and resubmission.
- 05
Submit
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain the accounts used for release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the decisions and materials that shape the first release.
- Write a short list of what users must do, in the order they will do it.
- Start your company’s Apple and Google developer accounts, including the D-U-N-S number needed for organisation verification.
- If you use a new personal Google Play account, plan its closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for at least 14 days.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects; Apple requires a link in the listing and in the app.
- Decide which screens and crashes you need to measure from the first release, using analytics and crash reporting.
- If people create accounts, include a way to start account deletion inside the app; deactivation alone does not meet Apple’s requirement.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline?
The scope determines the design, build and testing work.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Existing systems
A documented API for an existing backend reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel can be as large a task as the app.
Offline work
Showing previously loaded data without a signal is less work than offline editing, later sync and conflict handling.
User content
Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, user blocking and published contact details under Apple’s requirements.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid
Wrapping a website in an app shell
Plan useful app features; a repackaged website risks rejection under Apple’s guidelines.
Demanding sign-up immediately
Let people see value first when the app has no significant account-based features.
Asking for notifications on first launch
Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications remain off until allowed.
Leaving access with an agency
Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name so the app is easier to move.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the work. Custom animation, several languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts each add design and testing across screens. We start by learning about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you before discussing a quote.
How do I choose an app development company?
Choose a team you can speak to directly about the product and its technical decisions. With us, you talk to the people designing and building it. If you already have a website, ask how the app, website and admin tools will share data; we build a shared backend for them.
How are payments handled in an app?
The payment method depends on what you sell. Apple requires in-app purchase for digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app; physical goods and services used outside it need another method. Google Play billing is required for digital goods and subscriptions, and must not be used for physical goods or services.
Will I own the app and its code?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Store publication also takes place under your own developer accounts: we handle the listings, submission and review there. Register those accounts for your business so access to the published app remains with you.
What happens after the app launches?
Launch is followed by ongoing support for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out through over-the-air tools without a store build. Native code changes, new permissions and Expo SDK upgrades still need a store release.
Can users delete their accounts?
Yes. For an app that allows account creation, Google Play requires an in-app path to request deletion of the account and associated data, plus a web link for deletion requests. Include both routes in the product scope so the app and its supporting web page are prepared for release.
