Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform or native app?
A cross-platform app is a practical choice when your product centres on accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content. We usually build with React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. That gives you shared code to maintain while retaining the option to build a platform-specific feature when the app calls for it.
Native development gives you separate apps in Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android. It fits products that depend on deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. The trade-off is maintaining separate codebases, so the choice affects both the initial build and the work you keep doing afterwards.
A progressive web app is another option, particularly for a staff tool. It skips store review, but it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after a user adds it to the Home Screen. Start with how people will use the product and where they expect to find it.
Local
What Ranchi businesses need from an app
Ranchi’s mineral-based industries have field work where staff need to record jobs. An app for delivery, maintenance or inspection teams can capture forms, photos, signatures and locations, then sync the records to the office when a signal returns. Agree which information must be available on site before deciding how much offline work to build.
For shops and appointment businesses in the business districts of Lalpur, Doranda and Hindpiri, the useful task is often a repeat one. A shop might need reordering and a fast checkout; a clinic or salon might need booking, reminders and a staff view of the day’s schedule.
IT companies at the Namkum technology park may already have customers using a web platform. When those customers use it frequently, an app can reuse the existing accounts, data and backend.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
Your checkout needs to match what you sell. Digital content, features and subscriptions used in an app generally use the stores’ in-app payment systems; physical goods and services need another route, such as a payment gateway. UPI is a mobile payment system for person-to-merchant payments. If you choose a non-bank payment aggregator for checkout, it must be authorised; Razorpay and Cashfree have received authorisation. We set up the payment route around your purchase flow and the provider you choose.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We are a web, app and AI studio in India. We work with you remotely using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards, so you can review the work and give feedback as it develops.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us agree what belongs in the scope before design starts.
- 02
Design
We prepare iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Review the flow as someone using the app would.
- 03
Check the prototype
Put the clickable screens in front of customers or staff. Changes at this stage cost less than changes after the screens are built.
- 04
Test on your phone
We send builds through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. You can try the app in real use and share what needs attention.
- 05
Prepare for submission
If the app has a login, provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for review. Leave room in the plan for fixes and resubmission.
- 06
Measure the release
We include analytics and crash reporting in the first release, so you can see which screens people use, where they stop and which devices crash.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the following to make the first conversation useful.
- List the actions users must complete in the first release, in the order they would do them.
- Start registering Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data the app will collect, for the app and its Apple store listing.
- Plan for a closed test before production if you use a new personal Google Play developer account.
- List any analytics or advertising tools you want included, so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety answers.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time needed
The scope determines how much design, integration and testing work the app needs.
Backend
An existing backend with a documented API reduces the work. A new backend and admin panel can be as substantial as the app itself.
Integrations
A payment gateway, booking system or hardware connection needs setup, testing and a plan for failures.
Offline work
Showing previously loaded information is a smaller task than creating and editing records offline, then resolving conflicts during sync.
User content
If people post content, Apple requires filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details. Those features need to be built into the product.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Ranchi
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
The cost depends on the agreed scope. Live tracking or chat adds backend work, while custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens. Bring the main task you want the app to support and the features needed for its first release; that gives the discussion a useful starting point.
Which company should you choose for app development?
Choose a studio that leaves your business in control of the product. We leave your domain, content and code with you, without lock-in. Keep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in the business’s name too, so moving the app later does not depend on an agency or freelancer handing them over.
Can the app share accounts and data with our website?
Yes. We build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools, so customer accounts and data live in one place. We also build the accounts, notifications and admin tools behind the app. This gives your staff a way to work with the same data your customers use.
Will you publish the app under our accounts?
Yes. We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. If users can create accounts in the app, we also need to include a way to start account deletion inside it; Google Play additionally requires a web link for deletion requests.
What happens after the app launches?
We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features. Plan maintenance releases: Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. After launch, look at returning users, drop-off in the main task and the crash-free rate to assess how the app is working.
