Choosing
Should you choose a cross-platform or native app?
We usually build with React Native. It uses one codebase for iOS and Android, while rendering each platform’s own interface components. Web developers can contribute, and some logic can be shared with a React website. Where a feature needs access beyond the shared code, we use a native module.
Native development is a better fit when the app depends on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. The trade-off is maintaining separate Swift and Kotlin codebases. Flutter is another option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a custom design intended to look identical across platforms.
A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool that does not need a store listing. It skips store review, though it needs packaging to appear in the stores. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. Tell us what the app needs to do, and we will discuss the fit before settling on a build approach.
Local
What Rajkot organisations need from an app
Rajkot produces jewellery, silk embroidery and watch parts. If you sell to repeat customers, an app can give them a route to reorder, use loyalty benefits and pay with saved details. Your staff also need somewhere to manage the service: an admin panel can hold customer lookups, content changes and refunds alongside the app and its backend.
Rajkot also has private universities and engineering colleges. If your organisation has staff carrying out inspections away from the office, an app could give them job forms with photos, signatures and location details. Records can sync back to the office when signal returns, giving staff a way to complete the work away from a desk.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
For a checkout accepting UPI, we set up the payment gateway connection and test how the app handles a failed payment. UPI supports person-to-merchant payments. What you sell also changes the checkout: Google Play requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app, while physical goods and services must use a different payment route. We set up in-app purchases and subscriptions for the relevant stores.
How it runs
How a mobile app project runs with us
We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board to keep the work visible.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. This gives the team a shared view of what the first build needs to cover before design begins.
- 02
Design
We refine the iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Put the clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff; their comments give you a chance to change screens before they are built.
- 03
Test
You receive builds on your own phone through TestFlight on iPhone or a Google Play testing track. Use them for the tasks you expect customers or staff to carry out and share what you notice.
- 04
Submit
We handle listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. If the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s review, and leave room in the launch plan for fixes and resubmission.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you have; a short, ordered list is useful.
- SystemsList your website, CRM, booking or ERP software and payment provider. Note their APIs and who holds admin access.
- Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in the company’s name; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
- TestersNew personal Google Play accounts need a closed test before production, so identify people who can opt in.
- AccessKeep developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name.
- First releaseBring the tasks users must complete, in the order they would do them.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time needed for development
The work behind each screen changes the scope.
Backend
An existing backend with a documented API reduces work; building a backend and admin panel from scratch adds a substantial part of the project.
User types
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share the same backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that request data when opened.
User-generated content
Content filtering, reporting and blocking tools, plus published contact details, add work to an app where users post material.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Rajkot
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope changes with the notification service and targeting rules, and with the level of offline work: showing previously loaded data is smaller than allowing edits and resolving conflicts when records sync. Once we agree the scope, you can ask us for a free quote.
How should I choose an app development company?
Ask how the team will handle store review and privacy details as the app changes. For example, an app that only wraps an existing website risks rejection. Adding an analytics or advertising SDK later also means updating the store privacy answers to cover the data it collects.
What should be included in the first release?
Include analytics and crash reporting alongside the tasks users need to complete. Tools such as Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics show screen use, drop-off and device crashes. If people can create an account, Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests.
Will I own the app and its code?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Ask for those ownership arrangements to be clear before work starts, and check that the people responsible for your product know where to access the materials your business owns.
What support does the app need after launch?
Plan for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features after release. Google Play also requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. To judge a release, look at returning users, drop-off during the main task and the crash-free rate.
