What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform app or go native?

A cross-platform app suits products built around accounts, bookings, payments, lists or content. We use React Native for most apps: it shares much of the code across iOS and Android while rendering each platform’s own interface components. If you already have a React website, some logic can be shared with it. Your web developers can also contribute.

Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded product whose screens need to look identical across platforms. Native development in Swift and Kotlin fits deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. The trade-off is that you have separate codebases to build and maintain.

A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool, particularly when store review is not needed. It will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them, and on iPhone it can ask for notification permission only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. We help you choose the approach around the features your app needs, including native development when it needs deep device access.

Local

What Orlando businesses need from an app

Tourism is central to Orlando’s economy. For appointment businesses such as salons and gyms serving customers, an app can bring booking, reminders and payments into the same flow, while giving staff a view of the day’s schedule. Plan the staff view alongside the customer screens so your team has the information it needs to manage appointments.

Orlando’s technology industry includes software design and aviation businesses. A software business with an established web platform can reuse accounts and data when frequent use warrants an app. A maintenance team, meanwhile, may need job forms, photos, signatures and location recorded in the field, then synced to the office when signal returns. Those are different briefs, with different backend needs.

Rules

What a US mobile app project has to handle

For a state or local government app, the build needs to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA under the ADA Title II rule. We set up the app’s screens and flows against that standard and include accessibility checks in the work. Your team can identify the public services and screens the app will cover when we agree the scope, so the requirement is considered during design and development.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is ahead of Eastern time, so we keep decisions and feedback on the shared board as work moves between your day and ours.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us agree the scope, including the task people need to complete in the app.

  2. 02

    Design

We prepare screens for iOS and Android and refine them with your feedback before code is written. You can review the flows before development begins.

  3. 03

    Build

We develop and test the product on real devices and browsers. You review the work as the agreed design becomes a working product.

  4. 04

    Test

We send builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. You use the app and share feedback from real use.

  5. 05

    Launch

We handle the store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Gather the details that will affect access, integration and store submission.

  • Developer accountsRegister Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name and arrange the D-U-N-S number needed for organisation verification.
  • TestersIf you have a new personal Google Play developer account, plan for its closed test before production release.
  • Existing systemsList your website, CRM, booking or payment systems, their APIs and the people who hold admin access.
  • Privacy policyHave a policy that reflects the data the app collects; it needs to appear in the app and its Apple store listing.
  • Review accessIf the app has a login, prepare a working demo account and live backend for submission.

Cost & time

What affects app development cost and timing

The scope determines the work involved.

  • Offline work

Showing previously loaded data takes less work than creating and editing records offline, then syncing them and handling conflicts.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.

  • Screen design

Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • User content

If people can post content, the app needs moderation features, including reporting, blocking abusive users and filtering objectionable material.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Wrapping a website

Give people a useful reason to install the app. A repackaged site risks store rejection.

  • Forcing sign-up too soon

Let people use features without logging in when those features do not need an account.

  • Asking for notifications immediately

Request permission when the benefit is clear, such as after an order.

  • Adding tracking late

Update the store privacy answers when an analytics or advertising SDK changes the data collected.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Orlando

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to have an app developed?

There is no fixed price. The main drivers include the systems the app must connect to and whether you already have a documented backend API. Each integration needs setup, testing and failure handling; a new backend and admin panel also add substantial work. Agree the scope before asking for a quote.

Which company should I choose for app development?

Choose a developer whose proposed build fits your existing systems and gives you control of the store accounts. Ask how the app, website and admin tools will share data. We can build a shared backend for them and handle store submission under your own developer accounts.

What should be included in the first release?

Include analytics and crash reporting alongside the screens people need for the main task. They show where people stop using a flow and which devices crash. If you sell digital subscriptions in the app, plan the store payment setup too; Google Play billing has different rules for physical goods and services.

Does an app need an account deletion option?

Yes, if it lets people create an account. Apple requires an in-app way to start deletion. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path for the account and associated data, plus a web link for deletion requests. Include those screens and the associated data handling in the build scope.

Who owns the app and its code?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Ask how your staff will manage the product too: an admin panel can give them access to customer records, content, refunds and account blocking without calling a developer for each task.

What happens after the app launches?

We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, platform updates and new features. Plan maintenance releases as Android requirements change, and review retention, drop-off in the main task and the crash-free rate to see how people use the app and how a release performs.
