Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform app, a native app or a web app?
We usually use React Native for iOS and Android, sharing a codebase and adding native modules where a feature needs them. It fits apps built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments and content. If your app needs deep device features, we go native. That choice changes how much platform-specific work the project needs and should be made before the screens are built.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It draws its own interface, so it suits a heavily branded app whose screens need to look identical on both platforms. Your team would need to work in Dart. React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders platform interface components; some logic can also be shared with a React web app.
A progressive web app suits some staff tools and skips store review. It does not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them, and on iPhone it can only ask to send notifications after being added to the Home Screen. We learn what your users need to do and agree the scope with you before choosing the build.
Local
What Indianapolis organisations need from an app
Indianapolis has health services and hospitality businesses where appointments can be a central part of the customer experience. A clinic or salon app can bring booking, reminders and payments into the same flow, while giving staff a view of the day's schedule.
Life sciences organisations in Indianapolis working with inspection teams have a different set of tasks. Field staff may need to capture forms, photos, signatures and job locations without a signal, then sync those records to the office when a connection returns.
Indianapolis also has public university campuses. For an organisation whose users already return frequently to a web platform, an app can use the same accounts, data and backend, giving those users a mobile route into an existing service.
Rules
What a US mobile app project has to handle
For a state or local government app, the US accessibility rule specifies WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That affects the app screens and their use throughout the service, so we set up the screen designs and build against that standard. Identify the public service and the tasks people need to complete when you discuss the scope with us; the accessibility requirement needs to be part of the work from design onwards.
How it runs
How a mobile app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. In winter, India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of mainland US time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback and follow the work across that gap.

Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the main task your users need to complete.
- 02
Design
We design the iOS and Android screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Check the flow against how your customers or staff work.
- 03
Test the prototype
Put the clickable screens in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback lets you change a screen at a stage when changes cost less than after it is built.
- 04
Build and measure
We include analytics and crash reporting in the first release, using tools such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics to see screen use, drop-off and device crashes.
- 05
Submit
We handle store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. You retain access to the accounts used for release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the information that helps us define the first release and its connections.
- List the actions users must complete, in the order they would do them.
- Note the website, booking, CRM, ERP or payment systems involved, their APIs and who holds admin access.
- Start registering company developer accounts; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
- Have a privacy policy that reflects the data the app collects, ready to link inside the app and in its Apple listing.
- For an app with login, prepare a working demo account and live backend for Apple submission, with room for fixes and resubmission.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of mobile app development
The scope of the screens and the work behind them drive the estimate.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Offline work
Showing previously loaded data is modest work; editing records offline and resolving conflicts during sync is a larger build.
Screen variations
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User-generated content
Content filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details add moderation work to the app.
Questions

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the cost. Live tracking or chat needs persistent connections and extra backend work, while an existing backend with a documented API reduces the work compared with building a backend and admin panel from scratch. Agreeing the scope gives us the basis for an estimate.
How do I choose an app development company?
Look for a team that lets you speak directly to the people designing and building your app, and ask how they handle the first user experience. For example, an app without significant account-based features should let people use it without logging in. We give you direct access to the people doing the work.
How are payments handled in the app?
We build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. Apple requires in-app purchase for digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app. Physical goods and services used outside the app need another payment method, such as a card gateway. The distinction affects the checkout we build.
Who owns the app and its assets?
You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Keep a record of the third-party tools added to the app as well. An analytics or advertising SDK added without updating the store privacy answers can create a mismatch; Google Play's Data safety form must cover data collected by those SDKs.
What support does an app need after launch?
An app needs ongoing bug fixes, operating-system updates and, as your needs change, new features. We provide ongoing support. Google Play also requires new apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so maintenance releases need a place in your plans. Track returning users and crash-free rate to assess releases.
