What you get

What’s included in mobile app development

  • App design

Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.

  • Cross-platform build

One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.

  • Backend & APIs

Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.

  • Push notifications

Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.

  • Payments & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.

  • Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.

Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build a cross-platform or native app?

We usually recommend React Native for an app that needs to run on both iOS and Android. It uses a shared codebase, with native modules where a feature needs them. React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components; some logic can also be shared with a React website. That gives you a way to cover both platforms without maintaining separate apps from the outset.

A native build suits an app built around deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. The trade-off is a separate codebase for each platform. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it draws its own interface and suits a highly customised visual design, provided your team is prepared to work in Dart.

A progressive web app can suit a staff tool and avoids store review. It needs packaging to appear in app stores, and an iPhone user must add it to the Home Screen before it can request notification permission. We help you weigh those trade-offs against the features you need.

Local

What Atlanta organisations need from an app

Healthcare is part of Atlanta’s economy. If you run a clinic, an app can give patients a place to book appointments, receive reminders and pay, while giving your staff a view of the day’s schedule. Decide which of those tasks needs to be available in the app from the first release, so the screens and staff tools support the same service.

Atlanta is Georgia’s capital and the county seat of Fulton County. If you manage a public service, a shared backend can serve an app, website and admin tools from the same accounts and data. That gives you a practical point to discuss early: which information should people see on their phones, and which records do staff need to manage?

Rules

What a United States app project has to handle

For a state or local government app, the US public-sector accessibility rule requires WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We design the app screens against that standard and build accessibility checks into testing. If your service also has a website, the rule covers that too. Bring existing designs to discovery so we can include the required work in the scope and plan the screens and checks from the start.

For a business taking payments, Stripe lists the United States as a country where businesses can sign up to accept them. We can include payment gateway setup in the app scope.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We’re a studio in India and work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 10h30m ahead of Eastern in winter and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. We use the shared board to keep decisions and feedback visible across the time difference.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the tasks you want the app to support.

  2. 02

    Design

We design screens for iOS and Android and refine them with your feedback before writing code.

  3. 03

    Try the prototype

Put the clickable screens in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback is useful while screens are less costly to change than after they are built.

  4. 04

    Test the build

You receive builds on your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks, so you can give feedback from real use.

  5. 05

    Launch

We handle the store listings, submission and review. You review the listing information with us as the app is prepared for release.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

A few practical details make the first conversation more useful.

  • List the tasks users must complete in the first release, in the order they will do them.
  • Start registering your company’s Apple and Google developer accounts; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
  • Keep developer accounts, signing access and the code repository in your business’s name.
  • Prepare a privacy policy that matches what the app collects; Apple requires a link in the app and its listing.
  • If you have a new personal Google Play developer account, plan for its required closed test before production release.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and timeline?

The work grows with the features and screens you ask us to build and test.

  • Custom screens

Animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

  • Live features

Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than data loaded on request.

  • Integrations

A payment gateway, map, booking system or hardware connection adds setup, testing and failure handling.

  • User-generated content

You need moderation work, including ways to filter and report content, block abusive users and show contact details.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Asking for notifications immediately

Request permission when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. On Android 13 and later, notifications stay off until the user allows them.

  • Adding a tracking SDK late

Update the Google Play Data safety form to cover data collected by third-party SDKs in the app.

  • Wrapping a website in an app shell

Plan useful app functions beyond the existing site. Apple’s guidelines call for more than a repackaged website, so a wrapper risks rejection.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Atlanta

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. The scope drives the quote: a new backend and admin panel add substantial work, while a documented existing API can reduce it. Offline editing and later synchronisation also need more work than showing previously loaded data. Once we agree the scope, we send a free quote.

How should I choose an app development company?

Choose a team that can explain how it will support your main user task and measure what happens after release. Ask how the app, website and admin tools will share accounts and data. Also ask about analytics and crash reporting in the first release, including how you will see where users leave a task.

What is included in push notification development?

We build push notifications with a sending service, rules for who receives each message and when, and settings inside the app. Those settings let people switch off categories they do not want. You will need to decide which messages are useful and which users should receive them.

Can you add payments and subscriptions?

Yes. We build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. On Google Play, digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app use Play billing, subject to regional alternatives. Physical goods and services, such as groceries or event tickets, must not use Play billing, so the checkout needs to reflect what you sell.

Who owns the app after it is built?

You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle the store listing, submission and review under your own developer accounts. Keeping those accounts with your business means the store presence remains under your control while we carry out the release work.

What support is available after launch?

Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can be sent over the air; native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. We also look at retention, task drop-off and crash-free rates to assess how the app is being used.
