Choosing

Should you choose a cross-platform, native or web app?

For an app built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments or content, a cross-platform build is a practical option. We usually use React Native to share a codebase across iOS and Android, adding native modules where a feature needs them. Shared code reduces the amount you maintain across platforms, while the screens still need to work well on each device.

A native build fits an app centred on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features as soon as they launch. It means maintaining separate iPhone and Android codebases, so that choice needs a clear reason in the product you want to build.

A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool, especially when you want to avoid store review. It does not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On an iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen, so check that limitation against how your staff will use it.

Local

What Ahmedabad businesses need from an app

Textiles are a major industry in Ahmedabad. A textile business with repeat retail customers could use an app for reordering and loyalty, with saved payment details and a checkout that is quick to complete. Staff also need a way to look up customers and deal with refunds without asking a developer to make each change. An admin panel gives them a place to handle those tasks.

Automobile manufacturers have engine and vehicle plants near Ahmedabad. For a maintenance or inspection team working around those operations, an app could collect job forms, photos, signatures and locations in the field, then sync the records to the office when signal returns. The useful starting point is the information staff need to capture on each job and who needs to review it afterwards.

How it runs

How an app project runs with us

We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and raise questions as the project progresses.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn about your business, audience and goals with you, then agree what belongs in the scope. Bring the main task you want people to complete, along with any constraints you already know about.

  2. 02

    Design

Put the clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff and watch where they hesitate. Your feedback gives us a chance to change screens before they are built, when changes cost less.

  3. 03

    Test

Try development builds on your own phone through TestFlight for iPhone or the internal or closed testing tracks on Google Play. Use the app for a real task and tell us where the experience breaks down.

  4. 04

    Submit

We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts while we take the app through the release process.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring these details so we can discuss a scope grounded in how your app will work.

  • List what users must do in the first release, in the order they will do it.
  • Note which website, CRM, booking, ERP or payment systems need to connect, whether they have APIs and who holds admin access.
  • Start registering Apple and Google developer accounts in your company’s name. Organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number.
  • Prepare a privacy policy matching the data the app collects; Apple requires a link in the app and its store listing.
  • If the app has a login, plan a working demo account and live backend for Apple’s review, with room for fixes and resubmission.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and time of app development

The work changes with the flows, data and devices your app needs to support.

  • User roles

Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when their data shares a backend.

  • Existing systems

A documented backend API can reduce the work; building a backend and admin panel from scratch can be as substantial as building the app.

  • Offline work

Showing the last loaded data is more modest than allowing edits without signal and resolving conflicts when records sync.

  • Interface requirements

Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing work across screens.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid when building an app

  • Making everyone sign up immediately

Let people see value before asking for an account where the app does not have significant account-based features. Apple’s guidelines ask for access without a login in that situation.

  • Asking for notification permission too soon

Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order. Notifications remain off on Android 13 and later until the user allows them.

  • Leaving notification controls until launch

Plan the sending service, the rules for who receives each message and when, and in-app settings for switching off unwanted categories.

  • Adding an analytics or advertising SDK without checking privacy answers: Update the Google Play Data safety form to cover data collected by that SDK as well as by the app itself.

Questions

Asked by businesses in Ahmedabad

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an app?

There is no fixed price. Live tracking or chat adds backend work for persistent connections, while each payment, maps or other integration needs setup, testing and failure handling. Agree the scope with us before requesting a quote, so it reflects the features and connections your app actually needs.

Which company should I choose to develop my app?

Choose a developer who explains what you will control after launch. Ask whose name will hold the developer accounts and code repositories, and who will have signing access. Keep those in your business’s name: accounts or repositories held by an agency or freelancer can make the app harder to move later.

What must an app include if customers can create accounts?

Include a way to start account deletion inside the app. Apple requires that path and does not accept deactivation alone. Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path for the account and associated data, plus a web link where people can request deletion. Plan both paths with the account screens.

How do payments work in an app?

The checkout depends on what you sell. Digital content, features and subscriptions used in the app generally use the stores’ in-app billing systems. Physical goods and services used outside the app need another payment method, such as a card gateway. Some storefronts or regions allow alternative payment options.

Will I own the code, and can the app use my website’s data?

Yes. You own your code, content and domain with no lock-in. We can also build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools, keeping customer accounts and data in one place. Tell us which existing website functions need to remain available to your customers in the app.

What happens after the app launches?

We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, operating-system updates and new features. Plan regular maintenance releases: Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. After launch, look at returning users, drop-off during the main task and the crash-free rate to assess how releases are working.
