Should you build native or cross-platform?
Start with your audience. An iPhone-first release makes sense when your website analytics or customer surveys show that most of your intended users carry iPhones. Check that evidence before settling on a platform, particularly if you expect the app to serve customers you do not yet reach through your website.
Native Swift with SwiftUI suits an iPhone-only product, especially one built around Apple features such as home-screen widgets, an Apple Watch app or HealthKit. Those features shape the design and build. If you later need Android, a Swift-only app means a separate build.
React Native or Flutter suits a product that needs Android soon, because most of the code is shared across platforms. Features the framework does not cover can still use native Swift modules.
