Mobile app development company in Pune for Android
You get an Android app designed around the people who will use it, with screens that follow Android guidelines, connections to your systems and a Google Play release. If you manage a business in Pune, you work with the same team at MSH Technologies on design, development and launch, so the decisions made for your screens carry through into the finished app.

Choosing
Should you build a native or cross-platform app?
Native Kotlin with Jetpack Compose suits an Android-first product, particularly when the app must communicate with printers, scanners, payment terminals or kiosks, or run long background tasks. Those requirements give you a useful starting point for the platform decision: identify the hardware and background work before agreeing the screen designs. For a product that also needs an iPhone app, React Native or Flutter lets you share most of the code across both platforms. Features that the framework does not cover can still use native Kotlin modules.
The oldest Android version you support is a separate choice. Supporting more versions extends reach and adds work, so check website analytics or run a short customer survey before fixing the target. Your own devices are a useful reference, but the decision should reflect what customers actually use. We discuss these choices with you directly: you speak to the people designing and building your product, so you can raise questions about the trade-offs before the scope is settled.
Local
What Pune organisations need from Android apps
Pune is an IT hub, and an IT business building a marketplace for drivers or service workers needs location, notifications and background sync that hold up across the Android phones those workers use. The app needs to account for the variety of devices in the field.
Manufacturing is also part of Pune's business base. A manufacturer issuing Android phones to staff could use a private app for inspections, attendance or sales orders, with screens built around the work staff need to record.
Pune's educational institutes may need apps used on tablets as well as phones. Wider screens need layouts designed for the available space, instead of a phone screen stretched to fill it.
Rules
What an Android app in India has to handle
If your app takes payments for physical goods or services, we set up a checkout that supports UPI, India's mobile payment system. For digital goods or subscriptions sold inside the app, we set up Google Play billing instead. Decide what the customer is buying before the checkout is designed; the payment flow follows from that choice.
If customers can create an account, we also set up an in-app route to delete it and its data, plus a web link where they can request deletion. Both routes need to be considered alongside account creation.
How it runs
How an Android app project runs with us
We are a studio in India and work with clients remotely through video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. You can review the work and raise decisions with us without needing to travel.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You tell us what people need to do in the app, and we agree the scope together before design starts.
- 02
Design
We design the screens and flows around Android's design guidelines. You review how people move through the app and give feedback on the proposed screens.
- 03
Test
We use Google Play's testing tracks to share builds. You help identify an invited group for early checks; an open test is also available when you want anyone to join from the store.
- 04
Plan the account
If you are using a new personal developer account, allow for the required closed test before production release. The account choice affects the release work.
- 05
Prepare for review
If the app has a login, you provide reusable reviewer credentials that work from any location and bypass one-time codes. We need those details to remain valid during review.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather the details that apply to your app so we can discuss the scope and release requirements.
- Organisation account detailsYour D-U-N-S number, organisation name, address, phone number and website are needed to create the Google Play account.
- Support contactsChoose a shared email address and phone number; Google Play displays them to users.
- Privacy informationBring your privacy policy and a list of personal data the app will collect and share for the Data safety form and listing.
- HardwareIdentify the exact printer, scanner or terminal models, their SDKs or documentation, and a unit for testing.
- Signing accessPlan who will hold the upload key when using Play App Signing; Google manages the app signing key.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of Android app development
The scope determines the work needed for design, integration and testing.
Hardware
Printers, scanners, payment terminals and NFC add SDK work and testing with physical devices.
Background work
Location tracking and large syncs need extra engineering because Android limits what apps can do in the background.
Screen formats
Tablet, foldable and kiosk layouts need design and testing beyond the phone layout.
Subscriptions
Google Play billing adds product setup, server-side purchase checks, failed-renewal grace periods and plan changes.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with Android app development
Testing too narrowly
An emulator or a single phone brand will miss problems. Test on devices your users have, including phones whose battery settings can delay background tasks and notifications.
Requesting unnecessary permissions
Ask only for what a feature needs, when the person first uses that feature. Extra requests can prompt review questions and put users off.
Asking for notifications too early
On Android 13 and later, users must allow them. Make the request when the benefit is clear, such as after an order.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an Android app?
There is no fixed price. The range of devices, support for older Android versions and the need to run on low-memory phones all affect testing effort. A known fleet of company devices reduces that work. Once we have agreed the scope, ask us for a quote covering the app.
How do I choose an app development company?
Ask how the people building your app will handle Android behaviour and measure problems after release. For example, discuss the system back gesture, larger font settings and adaptive layouts, then ask how crash and freeze rates will be checked in Play Console. Those details give you concrete points to assess.
Can an Android app be available only to our staff?
Yes. An organisation's staff app can be published privately through managed Google Play, so only that organisation can install it. Tell us who needs access when discussing the scope, because a private staff release and a public store release have different audiences.
What is included in an Android app project?
The project covers the app, testing across manufacturers, screen sizes and Android versions, a back end and admin panel, and Play Console setup for testing and release. We prepare the store listing, manage release tracks and keep the app within Google Play policy.
Will I own the app code and release access?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep the developer account and upload key under your business's control, and appoint more than one administrator. That gives your organisation access to the account needed to publish updates.
What support do you provide after launch?
We handle updates for new Android versions, bug fixes and new features after launch. Plan regular maintenance releases: Google Play requires new apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, and an out-of-date app can become unavailable to new users on newer devices.
