Choosing
Should you refresh the site or rebuild it?
Start with what needs to change. A redesign can alter the look, the structure or the platform. If the current structure still fits your business and the platform is easy to manage, a visual refresh keeps the scope focused. Keeping existing page addresses where possible also saves redirect work. Change an address when its structure is confusing or contains duplicate paths.
A platform move suits a site held back by slow loading, plugins or editing limits. A clean WordPress setup or a custom build gives you a different foundation, though moving content between systems takes work. When the content no longer matches the business, a full rebuild can give it a new structure; that calls for a complete redirect plan because more addresses may change.
For a large site, a phased redesign can begin with the pages that bring the most enquiries. The trade-off is having two designs in use alongside each other during the change. We learn about your audience and goals with you, then agree the scope before design begins.
Market
What buyers in the United Arab Emirates expect
Your site needs to reflect the business as it is now. An established company whose services or clients have changed may need new page designs and clearer content while keeping the search traffic its existing pages have earned.
Arabic is the official language, and English and other major languages are widely used. Decide which languages your customers need before agreeing the sitemap, so the page structure has room for each version. Organisations whose sites have grown page by page may also need duplicate content merged and a clearer menu, with redirects for pages that move.
Rules
What a redesign in the United Arab Emirates has to handle
Personal data requirements affect enquiry forms and tracking. Where consent is required, we set up consent choices for the relevant data collection and plan how personal data is transferred across borders. That gives the form and tracking setup a defined place in the redesign scope.
If you use a .ae or Arabic .امارات domain, we plan the redesigned site around that address and check the registration arrangements with your accredited registrar before the switch.
How it runs
How a website redesign project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 1h30m ahead, so the shared board keeps decisions and feedback visible between conversations.
- 01
Audit and sitemap
We review your content, structure, speed and search performance, then agree which pages survive before design starts. You review the inventory and redirect map, including pages such as product sheets and downloadable forms that your customers still use.
- 02
Design
We create a mobile-first look based on your brand. You review how the pages work for your business before the design moves into the build.
- 03
Launch
We point the domain, apply redirects and submit the new sitemap in Search Console. We then test forms, tracking and a sample of old addresses as part of the switchover checklist.
- 04
Checks
We review Search Console and analytics after launch, watching for crawl errors and old addresses returning 404 errors. We add missing redirects as those issues appear.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
These details help us understand the existing site and plan the switch.
- Access to the current site, hosting, domain registrar and DNS.
- Search Console and analytics access, with as much history as possible.
- A list of what works and what frustrates staff or customers, such as pages that are hard to edit or enquiries that go missing.
- Page addresses used on brochures, packaging, QR codes, ads or email signatures.
- A list of connected tools, such as CRM forms, booking widgets, payment links, chat and tracking pixels, with account access for each.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of website redesign
The scope of the existing site determines much of the work.
Platform
A new design on the same system takes less work than moving between systems that store content differently.
Content changes
Moving pages as they are keeps the work smaller; rewriting, merging and reorganising them adds work.
Page decisions
Each existing page needs a decision to keep, rewrite, merge or delete before the sitemap and redirect plan are settled.
Existing search performance
Reviewing addresses, traffic, links and search queries helps identify pages that need deliberate handling in the move.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with website redesign
Leaving old addresses without redirects
Links can stop working and old pages can return 404 errors. Map each old address to its relevant new equivalent instead of sending unrelated pages to the home page.
Using temporary redirects for a permanent move
Use permanent redirects so search engines receive a signal about the new address.
Forgetting measurement
Move analytics, ad conversion tags and call tracking to the new templates so you can assess the redesign.
Changing everything at once
Limit changes to what the site needs, so a traffic dip is easier to investigate.
Questions
Asked by businesses in United Arab Emirates
Page updated 5 November 2026
What does a website redesign cost?
There is no fixed price. The amount of work depends on how many URLs need migration and redirects, how much source content needs cleaning up, and how many language or regional versions need checking. Pages built with shortcodes or hand-formatted posts can take extra effort to move cleanly. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
We plan the migration to protect existing search performance. That includes mapping old URLs and deliberately carrying over or improving page titles, descriptions, headings and structured data on pages that already rank. Those details need attention when templates change, so they are not dropped by default in the new design.
Can you keep our existing content?
Yes. We can move your existing content across and suggest where it could be shortened or improved. You do not have to start writing the whole site again: we can use the material you already have and identify passages that would benefit from a clearer or shorter version.
Who owns the website after the redesign?
You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. That means the address, the material on the site and the code remain yours after the work is done. Ownership is part of the arrangement from the outset, not something you need to add after launch.
Can our existing site stay live during the redesign?
Yes. We build the redesigned site on a private preview link while your existing site stays live. You can review the work through that link, and we switch over only when you approve. This gives you a chance to see the new site before visitors reach it.
What should we check after launch?
Compare enquiries, traffic and rankings for key pages with the period before launch. Ranking fluctuations can occur while a site move is processed. Update links you control, including social profiles, directory listings and email signatures, so visitors can reach the new addresses directly. Keep redirects in place for as long as possible.
