Mobile app development company in United Arab Emirates for Android apps

You get an Android app built around the people who will use it, with screens tested on their devices and accounts, data or notifications connected to your systems. If you manage a business in the United Arab Emirates, we can work with you from our studio in India. At MSH Technologies, the same team handles design, development and launch.

What you get

What’s included in Android app development

  • App design

Screens and flows that follow Android's design guidelines.

  • Build

A native or cross-platform app, tested on the devices your users have.

  • Back end & APIs

Accounts, data and notifications connected to your systems.

  • Google Play release

Store listing, release tracks and policy compliance.

  • Updates

New Android versions, bug fixes and features after launch.

Tools we use: Kotlin, React Native, Expo, Firebase, Node.js.

Choosing

Should you build native or cross-platform?

A native Android app fits a product focused on Android devices. If you also need an iPhone app, React Native or Flutter lets you share most of the code across both platforms. Some features still need native Kotlin modules when the chosen framework does not cover them, so the choice affects what your developers maintain as well as what they build.

Decide which Android versions to support before settling the scope. Supporting older versions reaches more devices, but adds work; choosing a newer minimum reduces that work while leaving out some users. Check your website analytics or run a short survey to see what your customers actually use, then make the decision against that evidence.

Your checkout affects the build too. Digital goods and subscriptions sold inside the app require Google Play billing, while physical goods and services such as groceries, transport and event tickets must not use it. Some regions allow alternative billing. Bring your proposed products and payment flow into the platform discussion so the app and checkout are planned together.

Market

What do app users in the United Arab Emirates expect?

Retail and hospitality teams use Android tablets for point-of-sale screens, ordering kiosks and queue displays. If your staff need a tablet locked to a single app, identify that use when discussing the screens and the devices. Marketplaces with drivers or service workers have a different need: location, notifications and background sync that work across the phones their people use.

Payment choices can shape checkout. Aani supports transfers using a mobile number and merchant payments by QR code; Jaywan supports online and in-store card payments. If either is part of your payment plan, tell us before checkout is designed so we can account for the relevant payment flow.

Rules

What does an Android app project in the UAE have to handle?

Your app's use of personal data needs to account for consent where required and for any cross-border transfers. We plan the consent flow and the data sent between the app and its connected systems around those requirements. Identify what you collect and where it goes before the flow is designed.

For a Google Play release, we also account for the Data safety form, including data collected by third-party SDKs, even if the app itself collects nothing. If people can create accounts, we set up an in-app route to delete the account and its data, plus a web link for deletion requests.

How it runs

How an Android app project runs with us

We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 1h30m ahead, so the shared board gives you a place to review progress and leave feedback between conversations.

  1. 01

    Discover and design

We learn about your business, audience and goals, agree the scope with you, then refine screen designs with your feedback before coding starts. Bring the tasks your users need to complete and tell us which screens need changing.

  2. 02

    Check Android behaviour

We account for the system back gesture, navigation patterns, adaptive layouts and larger font settings. You review the proposed flows with those settings and interactions in mind.

  3. 03

    Test the build

Internal testing gives an early group access; closed testing reaches a wider invited group, while open testing lets anyone join from the store. Choose who should check the app before release.

  4. 04

    Prepare for review

If your app has a login, provide reusable sign-in details that work from any location and skip one-time codes. Expired details can lead to rejection.

  5. 05

    Release and update

We prepare the store listing, manage release tracks and keep the app within Google Play policy. For an update, a staged rollout lets the share of users be increased by hand or halted if crash reports rise.

Checklist

What to have ready before we talk

Bring what you already have from this list; it will make the device, account and integration discussion more specific.

  • Developer account detailsHave your D-U-N-S number and organisation name, address, phone number and website ready for an organisation account.
  • Support contactsChoose a shared email address and phone number for Google Play to show users, instead of personal contact details.
  • Device listNote the phones and tablets your customers or staff use, using analytics or a quick survey.
  • Hardware detailsBring printer, scanner or terminal models, their SDKs or documentation, and a unit developers can test.
  • Account accessPlan for more than one administrator and keep the developer account and upload key under your business's control.

Cost & time

What affects the cost and scope of Android development?

The work changes with the devices, integrations and supporting systems your app needs.

  • Device range

Older Android versions and low-memory phones add testing effort; a known fleet of company devices reduces it.

  • Hardware

Printers, scanners, payment terminals and NFC add SDK work and testing with physical units.

  • Background work

Location tracking or large syncs need extra engineering because Android limits background activity.

  • Platforms

Android-only is a smaller build now, but an iPhone app later means another development effort.

  • Supporting systems

An app project can also include a backend, an admin panel and Play Console setup, alongside the app and device testing.

Avoid

Mistakes to avoid with Android apps

  • Testing on an emulator or one brand alone

Include actual phones from different manufacturers. Battery-saving settings on some devices can delay background tasks and notifications that appear to work in an emulator.

  • Asking for notification permission immediately

On Android 13 and later, notifications remain off until the user allows them. Ask when the benefit is clear, such as after an order.

  • Ignoring download size and memory

Keep the app small and test on a low-end device. Limited storage and slow connections can make a heavy app difficult for your customers to use.

Questions

Asked by businesses in United Arab Emirates

Page updated 5 November 2026

How much does it cost to develop an Android app?

There is no fixed price. The work depends on the devices you need to support and the features you sell. Google Play subscriptions add product setup, server-side purchase checks, failed-renewal grace periods and plan changes; an app for customers on budget handsets also needs attention to size and network conditions.

How do I choose a company to develop my app?

Choose a team that discusses your business, audience and goals before agreeing the scope. Ask to see how it will design your screens and flows around Android's guidelines, and give feedback on the proposed work. We start with that discovery discussion and use it to agree what the app needs to do.

Can we make an Android app just for our staff?

Yes. An organisation can publish a private app through managed Google Play so only that organisation can install it. This suits staff using company-issued Android phones for attendance, inspections or sales orders. Tell us which of those tasks your staff need to complete and which devices they use.

What is included in the Google Play release?

We handle the store listing, release tracks and Google Play policy compliance. If your app needs background location, the build also needs a core feature that depends on it, a clear in-app disclosure before the permission prompt and a declaration for Google's approval. Ads or analytics alone do not qualify.

Will I own the app and its code?

Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. For app signing, Google manages and protects the signing key through Play App Signing, while your business keeps an upload key for submitting builds. If that upload key is lost, it can be reset.

What happens after the app launches?

We handle updates for new Android versions, bug fixes and new features. Plan maintenance releases: Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Android vitals also tracks crashes and freezes; rates above Google's thresholds can affect store visibility and add a warning to the listing.
