Choosing
Should you refresh the site or rebuild it?
Start by deciding what needs to change: the design, the structure, the platform, or a combination. If the existing structure still works, keeping its URLs avoids much of the redirect work. Changes to URLs earn their place when the current paths are confusing, duplicated or filled with dates and IDs that no longer help visitors find a page.
A full rebuild with a new structure fits when the content no longer reflects your business. Expect more work on the redirect plan if many URLs change. For a large site, a phased redesign can start with the pages that bring the most enquiries; the trade-off is that you will run different designs side by side during the transition.
A platform move is worth considering when plugins, speed or editing limits hold the site back. We move sites from WordPress, Wix, Webflow or a legacy platform to Next.js or a clean WordPress build. The choice affects how your team edits content and how much of the existing site needs to be carried across.
Market
What website visitors in Qatar expect
Your visitors need to recognise the services you offer and find current information without working through an outdated menu. For an established company whose site no longer reflects its services or clients, we plan the redesign around the pages that already bring search visitors. That gives those pages a deliberate place in the new structure.
Arabic is the official language, while English is commonly used in commerce. Where you need both, we plan the page versions around the content your customers need in each language. We also consider who will keep that content current: teams that struggle with their existing site need an editor with structured fields for the information they change most.
Rules
What a redesign in Qatar needs to handle
If your redesigned site collects details for direct marketing, Qatar requires the recipient’s prior consent. We set up a clear consent choice alongside the relevant sign-up form, so your marketing collection has a place in the new design.
A website aimed at children needs express approval from a parent or guardian before processing a child’s personal data. Where that applies, we set up a parent or guardian approval step before the site processes those details. Include that requirement when agreeing the forms and content in scope.
How it runs
How a website redesign project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 2h30m ahead, so we use the shared board to keep decisions and feedback visible between conversations.
- 01
Review
We examine your current content, structure, speed and search performance before changes begin. You tell us what the site needs to do for your business and which problems prompted the redesign.
- 02
Plan
You review the content inventory and redirect map with us. Your knowledge of pages customers still use, including product sheets and downloadable forms, helps us decide where those pages should go.
- 03
Build and review
We build on a private preview link while your old site remains live. You review the work there, and we switch over only when you approve it.
- 04
Switch over
We point the domain, apply redirects and submit the new sitemap in Search Console. We then test forms, tracking and a sample of old URLs against the launch checklist.
- 05
Check
After launch, we review Search Console and analytics to catch issues early. You can use those checks to discuss anything that needs attention with us.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather the access and decisions that will help us understand the existing site and plan its move.
- Site accessHave the current site, hosting, domain registrar and DNS login details ready for the people authorised to share them.
- Search dataArrange Search Console and analytics access with as much history as possible, so valuable pages can be identified.
- Your listNote what works and what frustrates staff or customers, from slow pages to enquiries that go missing.
- Connected toolsList CRM forms, booking widgets, payment links, chat, newsletter sign-ups and tracking pixels, with account access for each.
- Content decisionsIdentify discontinued services, outdated news and former staff profiles that you are ready to retire.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of website redesign
The scope determines the work involved and how long the redesign takes.
Existing URLs
A site with an extensive archive of posts, news or product pages needs more migration and redirect work.
Content clean-up
Moving copy as it is takes less work than rewriting, merging and reorganising pages.
Source content
Page builders, embedded shortcodes and hand-formatted posts take extra effort to move cleanly.
Custom features
Member areas, booking systems, calculators and complex forms need rebuilding when they must remain part of the site.
Language versions
Each additional version adds URLs, redirects and checks to the move.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with website redesign
Leaving out redirects
Old links can lead to missing pages. Map old URLs to their new homes before launch, including links used in printed material.
Using temporary redirects for a permanent move
Use permanent redirects so search engines receive the appropriate signal about the new URL.
Leaving development search settings in place
Check that the new site is not blocked by a noindex setting and that the staging copy is not open to search engines.
Forgetting tracking
Move analytics, ad conversion tags and call tracking to the new templates so you retain the data used to assess the redesign.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Qatar
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does a website redesign cost?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends on the URLs that need accounting for, the content and media to transfer, and connected items such as forms and tracking codes that need checking. We use the existing site review to agree what is included, then send you a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Will a redesign affect our Google rankings?
Rankings can change during a site move, so the migration needs planning. We map old URLs to their new homes, retain metadata and monitor Search Console after launch. Avoid changing the design, platform, URLs and all the copy at once: if traffic changes, separating those decisions makes the cause easier to investigate.
Can we keep the content from our current website?
Yes. We move existing content across and suggest where it could be shortened or improved. A content inventory records which pages to keep, rewrite, merge or delete; that list then informs the new sitemap and redirect plan. You can decide which material still represents your services before it is placed in the redesigned site.
Should we change our domain during the redesign?
Keep the domain unless you have a reason to move it. A new domain adds a separate migration to the redesign. For that move, Google provides a Change of Address tool in Search Console; the tool is not needed when you keep the domain and change only the page paths.
Will we own the redesigned website?
Yes. You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. After launch, you can also update the links your business controls, including those in your Google Business Profile, social profiles, directory listings and email signatures. Visitors using those links can then go directly to the new pages.
What support do we need after launch?
Plan for checks on search errors and the pages that matter to your business. Watch Search Console for crawl errors and missing old URLs, then add redirects where needed. Compare enquiries, traffic and rankings with the period before launch, and keep redirects in place for as long as possible.
