Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, custom code or a website builder?
Start with the editing. WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to change most of the site itself. It offers a large choice of plugins, though someone needs to keep them updated for security. Decide who will make those updates as well as who will publish content.
A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a company that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. Your team needs to be comfortable asking a developer to make structural changes. That distinction is worth discussing before you settle on a platform: changing page content and changing how the site is built are different jobs.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You trade some control over code and speed for that approach, and moving away later could mean rebuilding. Before choosing, list the changes your team expects to make and how often; use that list to assess the editing work involved.
Market
What do website visitors in Qatar expect?
Plan your language choices with your audience in mind. Arabic is the official language, while English is commonly used in commerce. If you need both, identify the pages to prepare in each language and who will supply and approve the text before the designs are finalised.
Give the page designs room for the content in each language. Review the navigation, service descriptions and enquiry route in both versions, so a visitor can find the relevant information and contact you without having to switch languages to complete the enquiry.
Rules
What does a website project in Qatar need to handle?
If you plan to send direct marketing, build consent into the route from the website to your marketing list. Qatar's data protection law prohibits unsolicited direct marketing without prior consent, so we set up a consent choice where you collect details for that purpose.
A website aimed at children needs a different approval step. The law requires express approval from a parent or guardian before processing a child's personal data, so we set up that step in the relevant data-collection flow.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards, and you speak directly to the people designing and building your site. India is 2h30m ahead of Qatar; the shared board gives both sides a place to keep decisions and feedback moving across that difference.
- 01
Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the scope with you before moving into design, so each side knows what the project covers.
- 02
Plan the pages
Explain who buys from you, why they choose you and what visitors should do. We use those answers to shape the sitemap.
- 03
Review the wireframes
Check the content and its order on each page before focusing on colours. Your feedback helps us settle the page priorities.
- 04
Design and build
We refine desktop and mobile designs with your feedback, then build the site or an editable CMS and test it on real devices and browsers.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the site.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these details so the brief starts with your priorities.
- Your main goal, such as quote requests or job applications, and who handles each enquiry.
- A ranked list of services or products to feature.
- Logo files, colours and fonts, or a note that they still need creating.
- Examples of sites you like and dislike, with a reason for each.
- Case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials and certifications in one folder.
- Account access details, or the names of the people holding them.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of your website?
The work involved changes with the pages, features and material in your brief.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build work than pages sharing the same template.
Features
Booking, member logins, multiple languages and CRM connections add design, build and testing work.
Content migration
Moving news archives, blog posts and downloadable files from an old site adds transfer and checking work.
Brand readiness
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building your website
Leaving content until the end
Use real headings and paragraphs in the designs. Placeholder text can hide layout problems that appear when the actual copy arrives.
Reviewing only on a large screen
Check every page on a phone too, including the information and actions visitors need to find.
Giving an agency ownership of your accounts
Hold the domain and hosting accounts in your business's name and grant the access needed for the work.
Copying every old or competitor page
Choose clear service pages that visitors can scan and your team can keep current.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Qatar
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to build a website?
There is no fixed price. The design approach, the content you need to gather and the complexity of the editing setup all affect the work. A custom design and a separate content editor involve different decisions from an adapted template. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Can a custom website still have an editor?
Yes. A custom Next.js site can include an editor, even though WordPress is suited to teams that want to edit a lot of content themselves. We recommend an option after understanding how your team works, including the changes it expects to make after launch.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers, plus metadata, structured data and a sitemap for search. Agree an accessibility target in the brief too; the W3C encourages use of the latest WCAG version.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, the content and the code. Ask for those ownership terms to be clear when you agree the scope, and make sure the people responsible for your website know which accounts and materials belong to your business.
What should we manage after launch?
Assign someone to keep news, projects and job posts current. We provide ongoing support after launch, and you can use analytics to track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, then check which pages those enquiries started from.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Share the files your team uses and identify who will approve their use in the page designs, so feedback reaches the build at the right stage.
