Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, a custom site or a hosted builder?
Start with who will update the site. WordPress suits a team that publishes frequently and wants to edit most pages itself. Its plugin choice is broad, but someone needs to keep the installation updated for security. A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants fast pages and a design without template limits, with a developer handling structural changes.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding. For a simple site with a tight brief, an adapted template is another option; it still needs to be reworked around your real content.
Think about your editing routine before picking a platform. We recommend WordPress or a custom Next.js site after understanding how your team works, including what you expect to change yourselves.
Local
What organisations in Surprise need from their websites
The Dysart Unified School District serves most of Surprise. A school district website needs a clear route through its information and a way for visitors to reach the right people. We set up contact forms that go to the appropriate inbox, so the enquiry route can follow the district’s responsibilities.
Surprise is also home to Ottawa University, a private nonprofit university. An organisation with several audiences needs page structures that make information easy to find on a phone as well as a desktop. We map the pages, prepare wireframes and refine the designs with your feedback before moving into the build.
Rules
What a United States website project needs to handle
US guidance says ADA Title III covers goods and services that businesses open to the public offer on the web, and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target in your brief and build the pages and forms with that target in mind. Agreeing it before design gives your team a basis for reviewing the site as the work progresses.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 12h30m ahead of Arizona; the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across that time difference.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what visitors should do. We use those answers to shape the scope and sitemap with you.
- 02
Plan the pages
We prepare wireframes before visual design. Review the content and its order at this stage; colours can come later.
- 03
Design and build
We refine desktop and mobile designs with your feedback, then build the site and test it on real devices and browsers.
- 04
Check
Proofread every page, submit each form once and confirm who receives the messages. This gives you a chance to catch small errors before visitors see them.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these details so we can discuss the site around your actual priorities.
- Your logo files, brand colours and fonts, or a note of what still needs creating.
- A ranked list of the services or products you want to feature.
- The action you want visitors to take and the person who handles each enquiry.
- Account logins for your domain, hosting, email and analytics, or the name of the person who holds them.
- Photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- Case studies, testimonials, certifications and client logos you have permission to show.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The work involved depends on the decisions and materials in your scope.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build work; pages sharing a template take less.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, multiple languages and CRM connections add design, build and testing work.
Content
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller. Copywriting, photography or translation add work.
Brand assets
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Surprise
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price: the scope of the pages, designs and forms determines the work. Preparing your existing logo, colours and fonts for the web also affects what needs to be done. We agree the scope with you before you request a quote.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers. We also prepare the site for search with metadata, structured data, sitemaps and fast-loading pages. You can ask us to include these requirements when we agree the scope.
Will I own the website after launch?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Keep the domain and hosting accounts in your business’s name and grant access to whoever needs to work on them. That way, you retain control of the accounts as well as the website itself.
Who keeps the website current after launch?
Your team should decide who will update news, projects and job posts after launch. You can also measure enquiries in analytics by tracking form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks, then checking which pages those visitors started from. Assigning an owner makes those checks easier to maintain.
Can you build the site around our existing brand?
Yes. We can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Gather the service descriptions, team bios, case studies and photos early too, and decide who will write each part so the design has real material to work with.
