Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Start with who will update the site. WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most content itself. Its plugins offer plenty of options, though the site needs regular updates to maintain security. A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants fast pages and a design without template limits, and is happy to ask a developer to make structural changes.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding the site. That trade-off is worth discussing before you commit content to a platform.
We recommend WordPress or a custom Next.js build after learning how your team works. Tell us which pages you expect to change, who will make those changes and when you will need a developer. The answer gives us a practical basis for the platform decision.
Local
What Saskatoon businesses need from a website
Saskatoon’s economy is associated with potash, oil and agriculture. If you supply businesses in those sectors, your buyers may need to check capabilities, certifications and specifications before making contact. Give each product or capability a clear page, make specifications downloadable and use a quote form that asks for enough detail to let your team respond.
Innovation Place brings agriculture, information technology, environmental and life sciences industries into a science and technology park in Saskatoon. A startup presenting a product or raising money needs a plain explanation of what it does, with an obvious way to join a waitlist or book a demo. Those actions should be easy to find on a phone as well as a desktop screen.
Rules
What a website project in Canada needs to handle
If you plan to send commercial emails, the sign-up needs consent. We set up a consent field and make space in the message template for the sender’s identity, current mailing address and an unsubscribe mechanism.
If you want a .ca domain, the registrant must meet Canadian Presence Requirements. We check that choice with you during domain setup; Canadian citizens, permanent residents and corporations incorporated in Canada are examples of eligible registrants.
How it runs
How your website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 11h30m ahead of Saskatchewan, so the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across the time difference.

Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. We learn your goals and agree the scope together.
- 02
Design
We prepare the sitemap, wireframes and page designs for desktop and mobile. You review them and give feedback before they are refined.
- 03
Build
We develop the site in clean code or use a content management system your team can edit, then test it on real devices and browsers.
- 04
Check
You proofread each page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. This catches small errors before visitors encounter them.
- 05
Launch and care
We handle launch setup and provide ongoing support. Agree who on your side will be available to review the finished site.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you already have, and flag the gaps.
- A site goal, such as quote requests or calls, and the person responsible for handling each enquiry.
- A ranked list of services or products, so the navigation can lead with your priorities.
- A few sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work, or a plan to arrange them.
- A folder of case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials, certifications and memberships.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of website design
The scope determines how much design, build and checking work is needed.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, multiple languages or a CRM connection add design, development and testing work.
Content
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the work smaller; adding copywriting, photography or translation expands it.
Migration
Old blog posts, news archives and downloadable files need moving and checking on the new site.
Brand
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding colours, typefaces and a logo during the project.

Questions

Is investing in web design still worth it?
It is worth considering when your website has a clear job, such as bringing enquiries to your team. Measure that job after launch: track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions in analytics, then check which pages those enquiries started from.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The work depends on how much content needs gathering and whether your brand, audience or content calls for a custom design. Service descriptions, team bios, case studies and photos all need an owner, so decide early who will supply each item.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes a content editor for pages, news, projects and careers, so your team can make updates without training. We also set up contact and quote forms to reach the right inbox, with WhatsApp and click-to-call options for people who prefer those routes.
Will we own the finished website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. It is also worth agreeing who will maintain the content after launch: news, project and job pages need an owner, so visitors do not arrive at a site whose newest post is years old.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Supply the logo in a vector format such as SVG, AI or EPS, and tell us if any of the brand elements still need creating.
