Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Start with the editing work. WordPress suits a team that expects to update content often. A custom Next.js site suits a design without template limits, fast pages and tighter security, with a developer handling structural changes. A custom site can still have an editor. We recommend a route after learning how your team works, including who will make updates after launch.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that an owner wants to run alone. It gives you less control over code and speed, and moving away later can involve a rebuild. Think about who will run the site as well as who will first publish it.
A headless setup is another choice: it connects a custom front end to a separate content editor. It fits a site that needs both speed and frequent content editing, though there are more parts to host and maintain. That extra work belongs in the decision from the outset.
Market
What website buyers in Oman need to show
The right pages depend on what your visitors need before they contact you. A manufacturer or B2B supplier can use product and capability pages, downloadable specifications and a quote form that asks for enough detail to respond. A professional services firm needs room for service pages and partner credentials. For construction, interior design or engineering work, project photos and details give visitors something concrete to assess.
Plan the language of the pages early. Arabic is the official language, and English is widely spoken in business, though less so outside Muscat. We design the page layouts around the Arabic and English content you need, so the navigation and page structure have room for it.
Rules
What an Oman website project needs to handle
If you want to send advertising or marketing material, plan for written consent in the form design. Oman's personal data protection rules require a data controller to obtain that consent before sending the material. We set up a separate written-consent field alongside the relevant form, so a visitor can make that choice when submitting their details. Agree the wording and decide who will handle the resulting enquiries as part of the form brief.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. IST is 1h30m ahead; we keep decisions and feedback on the board so work can move forward across the time difference.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. We learn about your audience and goals, then agree the scope with you.
- 02
Design
We prepare the sitemap, wireframes and page designs for desktop and mobile. You review them and give feedback before we refine the designs.
- 03
Build
We develop the site in clean code or with a content management system your team can edit. We test it on real devices and browsers.
- 04
Check
You proofread each page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. This catches small errors before visitors encounter them.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the setup.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you have; these details help us shape the scope around your business.
- List your services or products in order of business priority.
- Choose the main goal, such as quote requests or calls, and name who handles each enquiry.
- Find the logins for your domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console, or identify who holds them.
- Gather real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- Collect case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials and certifications in a folder.
- Share sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline?
The work involved in design, content and migration shapes both the quote and the time needed.
Page templates
Distinct layouts need separate design and build work; pages sharing a template need less of it.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller. Adding copywriting, photography or translation makes it larger.
Existing content
Blog posts, news archives and downloads need to be moved and checked when they are part of the new site.
Brand readiness
An established logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding colours and typefaces during the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid during a website project
Using placeholder copy throughout design
Put real headings and paragraphs into layouts early, since their length changes how a page fits together.
Reviewing only on a large screen
Check every page on a phone before approving the design. Mobile visitors need a usable layout too.
Choosing a platform before assigning an editor
Decide who will update the site and how often, then use those needs to guide the choice.
Copying every old or competitor page
Select the service pages visitors need and your team can keep current. A shorter site is easier to scan.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Oman
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is a company website still worth building?
Yes, when it gives people a clear way to enquire and your team keeps it current. Measure form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics, then check which pages visitors started from. Assign someone to update news, projects and job posts after launch.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The scope of the page structure, editor and forms affects the work, as does the preparation needed for your existing brand assets. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed, so you can see what the project includes before proceeding.
Should I choose a custom design or a template?
Choose a custom design when your brand, content or audience needs something specific. An adapted template fits a simple site with a tight brief, provided the layout is reworked around your real content. Review the proposed pages with your own headings and material in place before approving them.
What is included in the website build?
The build includes a content editor, page design and search setup. Your team can use the editor for pages, news, projects and careers without training. We also prepare page titles and descriptions, a clear heading structure and an XML sitemap, so these do not have to be added as fixes later.
Will I own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Keep the domain and hosting accounts in your business's name and grant access to the people working on the site. That way, the accounts stay with your business when you need someone else to work on it.
What happens after the website launches?
We provide ongoing support after launch. The project also includes discovery, design and build before the launch setup, so the work starts with an agreed scope and designs you can review. During the build, we test the site on real devices and browsers.
