Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Start with who will update the site. WordPress suits a team that wants to edit plenty of content itself. A custom Next.js build suits a more specific design and gives a developer control over structural changes; it can still include an editor. We recommend an approach after learning how your team works.
Your design is a separate choice. A custom design fits a brand, audience or body of content with specific needs. An adapted template fits a simpler site and a tight brief, provided the pages are reworked around your real content. That means deciding what each page needs to say before settling on a layout.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site you want to run yourself. The trade-off is less control over code and speed. Moving away from the builder later can also mean rebuilding the site, so consider how much control you want over it after launch.
Local
What Jeddah businesses need from their websites
Jeddah is Saudi Arabia’s main commercial centre. If you run a law, accounting or consulting practice here, prospective clients need to see what you do and who will do the work. Give each service a clear page and each partner a profile with their expertise and credentials, so a visitor has useful information before making contact.
Jeddah also has an industrial district. If your work is in construction, interior design or engineering, show prospective clients the projects they will use to judge your experience. A portfolio needs photographs and project details, with enough information on each project to explain the work your business carried out.
Rules
Handling personal information on a Saudi Arabia website
Saudi Arabia has a Personal Data Protection Law, so personal information collected through your website belongs in the project brief. We set up contact and quote forms to route messages to the right inbox. Together, we decide what each form asks for, who receives quote requests and what the confirmation says. We also agree where WhatsApp or click-to-call buttons should appear on mobile, so enquiries reach the people responsible for handling them.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work together remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. India is 2h30m ahead, so the board gives you a place to leave decisions and feedback between calls.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what visitors should do on the site. We use that to shape the sitemap.
- 02
Agree the scope
We learn your goals and agree the work with you before design starts, including what the site needs to cover.
- 03
Plan the pages
We prepare wireframes first. Review the content and its order at this stage; colours come later.
- 04
Design and build
We refine desktop and mobile page designs with your feedback, then build the agreed site.
- 05
Check and launch
You proofread pages, submit the forms and confirm who receives messages. We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the launch.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the material and decisions that will help us understand what the site needs to do.
- Brand filesYour logo in SVG, AI or EPS, plus your colours and fonts, or a note that they still need creating.
- PrioritiesThe services or products you want to feature, ranked by importance.
- Account accessLogin details for your domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console, or the name of the person who holds them.
- Proof of workCase studies, permitted client logos, testimonials, certifications and memberships in a folder.
- ExamplesWebsites you like and dislike, with a short explanation of what works or does not work for you.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of a website
The amount of design, build and checking work changes with the scope you choose.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build work than pages that share a template.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, languages and CRM connections add design, development and testing work.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller; writing, photography or translation add work.
Migration
Moving news, blog archives and downloadable files from an old site adds transfer and checking work.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building your website
Leaving real content until last
Bring headings and paragraphs into the design early, because their length can change a layout that looked finished with placeholder text.
Copying every existing page
Review what visitors need and keep service pages clear, so your team has less content to maintain.
Choosing a platform too early
Decide who will update the site and how often before settling on the editing setup.
Leaving search checks until launch
Check page titles and the sitemap, and remove any indexing block left on from development.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Jeddah
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to get a website built?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the work. A site with distinct page designs needs more design effort, while a separate content editor and custom front end add hosting and maintenance considerations. Gathering service descriptions, team bios, case studies and photographs also takes work. We agree the scope with you before preparing a quote.
Is a website still worth investing in?
A website is worth considering when it has a clear job to do and you measure it against that job. For example, track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions in analytics, then check which pages visitors started from. That gives you a practical way to review the site after launch.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. You should also agree an accessibility target in the brief. The W3C groups WCAG success criteria into levels A, AA and AAA and encourages use of the latest version.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Hold the domain and hosting accounts in your business’s name and grant access to the people working on the site. That keeps control of those accounts with you instead of leaving you to ask an agency or freelancer for access later.
What happens after the site launches?
We provide ongoing support after launch. Your team should also decide who will update news, projects and job posts. Assigning an owner for those sections helps keep them current, so visitors do not find an old post and wonder whether your business is still trading.
Will our team be able to update the site?
Yes. We provide an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers without training. Before handover, decide which people will look after those sections and give them a chance to become familiar with the editor during the walkthrough.
