Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits you if your team publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its choice of plugins gives you options for adding features, but someone needs to keep the installation updated for security. Decide who will take that responsibility before you choose it.
A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. It also means you are happy for a developer to handle structural changes. We recommend WordPress or Next.js after understanding how your team works and what it needs to change.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that its owner wants to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean a rebuild. A headless setup is another option: a custom front end with a separate editor, suited to heavy editing and fast pages, with more parts to host and maintain.
Local
What Fort Worth organisations need from their websites
Bell Textron, American Airlines and BNSF Railway are headquartered in Fort Worth. A company website needs an agreed sitemap, a clear page structure, desktop and mobile designs, and named owners for the content, forms and launch work. Those decisions give the design a practical scope.
Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University are among the city's universities. For an organisation handling different kinds of enquiries, the build needs to specify where each form sends its message, who receives it and what the confirmation says.
The city also has museums and hosts the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Organisations managing public-facing pages need a structure their teams can keep current. A shorter site with clear pages is easier to scan and maintain than a copy of every old page.
Rules
What a United States website project has to handle
For a business open to the public, US Department of Justice guidance says ADA Title III covers goods and services offered on the web and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. We set up an accessibility target in the brief, agree which level of WCAG success criteria to use and use the latest version as the reference for the page structure and design. Agreeing that target at the start gives your team and ours a shared basis for the work.
How it runs
How your website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of the mainland US in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback across that difference.

Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you have and identify who will gather the rest.
- Your services or products, ranked by business priority.
- Your logo in SVG, AI or EPS, plus brand colours and fonts, or a note that they still need creating.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- A site goal, such as quote requests or calls, and the person who handles each enquiry.
- A few sites you like or dislike, with a reason for each.
- A folder of case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials, certifications and memberships.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timing of your website
The work changes with what is ready and what the site needs to do.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, languages or a CRM connection add design, build and testing work.
Brand readiness
An existing logo and style guide reduce design effort compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.
Content gathering
Service descriptions, team bios, case studies and photos need owners; gathering them usually takes longer than approving the design.
Placeholder text
Adding real headings and paragraphs at the end can break layouts that appeared finished, creating more design work.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Fort Worth
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The main drivers include the number of distinct page templates and the amount of content moving from an old site. A shared template takes less design and build effort than pages that each need a different layout. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Can a custom website still have an editor?
Yes. A custom Next.js site can include an editor, so choosing a custom build does not mean asking a developer to make every content change. We provide an editor for pages, news, projects and careers that your team can use without training.
What do we need to check before launch?
Proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives the messages. Check the pages on a phone as well as a large screen: approving a design on desktop alone leaves out a view many visitors use. Give feedback while there is still an opportunity to correct errors.
Will we own the finished website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Your business should also hold the domain and hosting accounts in its own name and grant access to the people working on the site. That keeps the accounts under your control when you need someone else to work on them.
What happens after the site launches?
We provide ongoing support after launch. Your team should also decide who will update news, projects and job posts. In analytics, track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, and check which pages those enquiries started from. That gives you a way to measure the site against enquiries.
