Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its choice of plugins gives you options for extending the site, but someone needs to keep it updated for security. Think about who will make those updates as well as who will publish the content.
A custom Next.js site suits a project where you want a faster, more secure build while still having the option of an editor. A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that an owner wants to run alone. The trade-off is less control over code and speed, and moving away from the builder later can mean rebuilding the site.
Start with your editing habits. Tell us which pages your team expects to change and how often; we recommend WordPress or a custom build after understanding how you work. That decision gives the design and content work a clearer direction.
Market
What website visitors in Bahrain expect
Arabic is the official language, and English is widely used in business. Decide which audiences need each language before the page structure is agreed. We can plan separate language versions into the build, with translation included in the scope when you need it.
The information visitors need also depends on what you sell. A manufacturer or supplier should give buyers product or capability details, certifications and downloadable specifications, with a quote form that gathers enough information for a useful reply. A construction, interiors or engineering firm should show finished work through project photos and details that prospective clients can assess.
Rules
What a Bahrain website project has to handle
Plan where personal data goes when someone submits a form. Transfers out of Bahrain are restricted unless the destination provides sufficient protection or a limited exception applies, such as the person's consent or the Authority's permission. We map the form's destination and set up its fields and routing around the approach you choose, including a consent request where that is the applicable exception. Make that decision before connecting the form to an inbox or service outside the country.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We are a studio in India and work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 2h30m ahead, so the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across the time difference.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the enquiries or actions you want the site to support.
- 02
Plan the pages
We use wireframes to settle what belongs on each page and in what order. Review the content and priorities at this stage; colours come later.
- 03
Design
We prepare desktop and mobile designs and refine them with your feedback before coding starts. This is your chance to check the proposed pages against the content you have.
- 04
Build and test
We build the site in code or with an editable CMS, then test it on real devices and browsers. Your team can review the working pages.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console. Agree who on your side will handle access to these services so the setup can move forward.

Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The scope determines the design, build and testing work.
Page templates
Pages sharing a layout generally take less design and build effort than pages that each need a distinct layout.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, additional languages and CRM connections add work to design, build and test.
Content
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller; adding copywriting, photography or translation makes it bigger.
Brand
An existing logo and style guide reduce design work compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid
Leaving real content until the end
Put actual headings and paragraphs into the design early. Their length can change a layout that looked finished with placeholder text.
Choosing the platform too early
Decide who will update the site and how often before selecting the editing system. That gives you a practical basis for the choice.
Reviewing only on desktop
Check every page on a phone as well, including the content visitors need to read and use on a small screen.
Leaving search checks until launch
Check page titles and the sitemap, and make sure a development indexing block has not been left in place.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Bahrain
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is a company website still worth building?
A website is useful when it gives visitors a clear next action and your team a way to measure it. You can track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics and see which pages they started from. A product startup, for example, can explain its product and offer a waitlist or demo request.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The page structure and design, the work needed to gather content, and the choice of editing setup all affect the scope. A separate content editor with a custom front end adds hosting and maintenance work. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Should we use a template or have a custom design?
A custom design fits when your brand, content or audience needs something specific. An adapted template fits a simpler site with a tight brief, provided the layout is reworked around your actual content. We can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts and prepare brand assets for the web where needed.
What is included in the website build?
We build in Next.js or use WordPress when your team needs full editing control. We also provide an editor for pages, news, projects and careers. Agree an accessibility target in the brief: WCAG has A, AA and AAA levels, and the W3C encourages use of its latest version.
Will we own the website after launch?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Also decide who will keep news, project and job pages current after launch: an old post left as the newest item can make visitors wonder whether your company is still trading. Assigning an editor gives that work a clear owner.
What should we check before the website goes live?
Proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. Those checks catch small errors that visitors can notice immediately. At handover, we also walk your team through the domain, email, analytics and Search Console setup, so you know what has been put in place.
